^ bad experience with oatmeal stout, last year at wu-reunion this friend of mine spilled a whole bottle of it in my tent, all over my clothes… stunk up the place, and that was on the first night…
in london right now, Jam in the Dam was SICK…umphrey’s third night was mind-melting. saw’em in hamburg, germany thursday night too…200 or so people there. small club. crazy.

Funny story, on Thursday, the keyboardist and bass player from teh WU just randomly showed up at THE NESTOR, a crappy bar in Fargo. They played a set with a trombone player, a drummer, and a ripping guitar player. It was about an hour long and was pretty sweet. I was present, and it was weird to see them walking around the bar like normal people. I mean, they aren’t HUGE rock stars or anything, but still pretty cool. I was able to say quickly say hi to the bass player, but felt dumb because I didn’t know their names.
oh yeah, the bass player had his vikings shirt on that says “CRUSH GREEN BAY” on the back. That must be his favorite shirt, I’ve seen him wear it at shows too. go vikes

I’m hoping so much that since Zilla is playing the reunion and then summercamp (it’s either the day before or day after) he bring Billy and Kang w/ him…Both Honkeytonk Homeslice and Michael Kang are playing at Summercamp…Hopefully they make the trip w/ Michael Travis…Fingers Crossed
^ that’d be a nice treat. in light of recent developments, i might not even make it for a single day of Wu Reunion this year. that next weekend is .moe and umphreys at red rocks, i might have to save the cash for that and make the trip out to CO.
never fear, i WILL be at harvestfest (my band supposedly has a slot locked up for it) and if they do YGG Fest (last year it was Karl Denson, Phix late-night and other local notables) i’ll be there. gotta get to harmony at least twice every summer.

i have to say that i am a bigger fan of harvestfest than reunion. both are great, but harvestfest was my first harmony experience a couple years ago and i’ve loved it ever since.
as long as it’s at harmony park, i’ll go to anything there!!

Well this festival is just around the corner…Sure wish ALO was on the bill, but oh well…I’ve got this weird thought going through my head that Bill Nershi is going to travel w/ Michael Travis over to Harmony from Summercamp and make this huge guest appearance…Almost like Nershi would like to come and chill under the Oaks that he once played @ in 99’ or something.
