I was literally falling asleep at my desk about thirty minutes ago, trying to read a document called the DoD Information Technology Standards Registry. On top of this, someone in my shared office decided to enjoin in a teleconference as soon as I started reading, and concentrating on the damn thing during all of that droning, was downright impossible.

So I decided to listen to this version of the Gin from the Great Went that I downloaded to my desktop last friday but haven’t had a chance to listen to. It’s a Gin I’ve never heard before, and guess what?

Within a matter of minutes the sleepiness was swept right away and the mid-afternoon lowpoint of my day was catapulted into audio fireworks. I was sitting here swaying and shaking as discretely, yet as energetically as I could. For several wonderful moments I was everywhere but here, simultaneously at numerous Phish concert memories, playing air guitar in my mind, wide awake and ready to finish the rest of the day.

It’s funny, that before the end of the damn song, I had already gotten some ideas about the report I was reading which will make my approach to the topic much easier than I thought it would be.

Thanks bigdudeinthedoorway, hope I can return the favor some day!
