Also where would be a good place to stay, that is less than 2 hours drive west of the venue? So I can get a head start on driving to alpine (home)

Sounds like you want Toledo/Port Clinton/Sandusky area.

My favorite place to see Phish!! This is my 4th time seeing Phish at Blossom.

^just saw this on cashortrade- cashortrade.org/profile/Fish_bulb/posts/146635

I did see that and while it’s a nice deal, I think I can be a little choosey since I’m not the begging type :shifty:

Got my ticket in the mail a few days ago. Nice and pretty and everything. So jacked!

^

yep I am ready to rage… Only been once so I def am looking forward to the trip.

As I remember lots open fairly early. sometime after noon.

Also if anyone remembers traffic is a bitch getting out as everyone is directed in the same direction on a two lane road

For getting there aviod route 8 and come in on the 303 side :shh: I think that is right  . Will

Also anyone have any good recs for places to get some hetty craft beers. I know there is not much around the venue. Or even any that I could pick up at a local store? Preferably IPA’S or Rye’s

Don’t know about stores, but Winking Lizard is a great beer bar right by the venue… possibly even right next to a secret entrance.

Buy a VIP parking pass if still available, escape in seconds.

^but the grass lots are where it’s at!

And I meant more of any good recs for local brews ,any particular ipas, ryes, etc.

Will have to check out winking lizard for beers and secret entrance

Yep, and the grass lots are where its at for an hour+ wait getting out. Also, no pavilions and sheds in the fields.

It is a five minute walk to the grass lots to see some wook action.

As for particulars, get Fat Heads anything (Head Hunter IPA), Brew Kettle White Rajah, might be able to find some somewhat stale Great Lakes Rye of the Tiger.

leaving Athens at 1 on friday and driving straight to the venue. gotta find a cheap ticket. driving straight home after the show too. couldn’t be more excited. first phish show as a single man since i was 18 years old.

For getting there aviod route 8 and come in on the 303 side :shh: I think that is right  . Will

I’ll be lucky if I can get there without getting lost. No idea what the “303” is. Either way, I’m not in that big a hurry to get out…may hang on the lot afterward anyway. May drive straight home afterwards…Not sure. Meeting at a bar sounds good since I don’t have a clue what’s there anyway…the last time I got there, I drove in, hit the show, and then drove straight out to Cincy.

(Looks up) Ah, the 303 is Streetsboro…my crude directions say to come in via Steels Corner Rd…which is likely way off. (303 lets you comes in from the North or something?) Either way, I plan on getting there Thursday night so maybe I’ll scout the place during the day.

^but the grass lots are where it’s at!

Ya, I remember having much fun on those…even lost my car after the show and had to guess where it was. Ten years ago, nitrous balloons were everywhere! Much giggling to be heard.

Steels Corner Rd is the “main” entrance for parking. Coming directly from the highway can sometimes be a nightmare.

hey will, will rolling into the akron area around 3:30-4:00 be before rush hour really kicks into high gear? all of my friends are staying in independence and not planning to leave for the show until after 5 pm, which i have advised them is a really really bad idea because they will be hitting cleveland rush hour

Rush hour shouldn’t be a thing whatsoever. Although I’m usually at Blossom prior to five. It’s a good 50 minutes south of Cleveland.
