Blue Monday is a name given to a date calculated to be the most depressing day of the year.
This date typically falls on the Monday of the last full week of January. This would make Jan 21st the Blue Monday of 2008.

there is a really funky bar/cafe in my neighborhood called this. all they have is coffee beer and wine, and its full of kitsch and almost everything is for sale. Its like a thrift store bar hipster haven. but lots of live music comes through there.
I was thinking, this doesn’t really apply to me, since I’m getting a lot done today … we’re working, but not answering phones, to give the impression that we’re actually closed. And I don’t feel depressed.
But then I just realized, 3 hours into my shift, that I’ve done very little work.
That made me depressed.
Blue, even.

I have no school, I get to hang out with my daughter all day, we just listened to NYE 2002, I just got Blind Melon tickets, and I’ve been drinking beer since 10 this morning.

my monday was pretty blue and so i find this post a day after and i have to tell you that i am very disappointed in Brett Favre so i will be blue for sure for awhile to come. :’(
