Bonnaroo On Sale!

Bonnaroo

::holds out for announcement of Phish festival::

::doesn’t have $225 anyway::

lol at second photo in the montage of super-fat Dave Schools

I can’t wait for the late-night Billy Joel & Elton John jam.

I was thinking they’d probably get Lil Wayne and Nickleback to headline this year. I don’t think people are getting the point yet. They don’t want you smelly hippies at bonnaroo.

This shit gets more expensive every year, and less worthy of going. How can they justify putting tickets on sale for $200 bucks without even announcing any of the artists yet? Custies, thats how.

Weak sauce.

I guess Bonnaroo is officially about the money now…

“Buy our tix, you custy trend-setting hipsters, and we will tell you what the tix are for later. Cuz weir kewl!”

Yeah…gee…Phish, please play Bonnaroo? Truly and really and deeply please for serious do? It would complete my fantasy. You know the one - where Phish goes off the reservation and releases poorly made boxsets with the newest anti-remastering technology, and then plays Bonnaroo…that fantasy.

:end tangent:

:looks for one-ie:

:calms down:

ya it is definitely pretty shitty that $200+ is becoming the norm for tickets to festivals.

that is a lot of money

Well you know, they have to afford to pay Kanye and Kid Rock and all of those other people that noone gives a fuck about seeing. It really sucks that companies like MTV weren’t willing to let us “hippie” types have just one festival to ourselves. I mean, look what they did to Woodstock. I bet there will be fights and riots and fires this year at Bonnaroo. I mean can’t there just be one fucking festival in the world where we don’t have to invite Hanson or NSync to play?

Crocodile Rock > Piano Man* > Crocodile Rock

festivals suck anyway.

medicore sets + 100 degree temperatures + dirty, drugged-out hippies = you’re gonna have a bad time

also, it’s pretty obvious that they are pandering to ticket brokers and scalpers w/ this deal. who else buys tickets to a concert without any announced artists? waynestock’d.

All Good fest in WV is pretty good. I’ll keep going to that until it turns shitty…but that’s what you have to realize, they all turn shitty eventually and then you have to stop going and find the next actually chill festival to go to…kinda sad really. Who wants to go camp in the mud and watch shit like metallica and the white stripes ::gags:: anyway?

::Realizes that metal (NOT metallica) is awesome but would never want it at a festy unless it was a METAL FEST::

I wish they would actually try to cater to the audience instead of making money. Just face it, the genres bonnaroo is trying to mix just DONT. I love metal…alot…but who the HELL wants to listen to pounding distorted music when you’re tripping your balls off? nobody. that’s who.

dude. all good is shitty. it’s gotten progressively worse over the past few years. last year was the tipping point for me. i will NEVER go back. all good hasn’t been good in over 5 years.

bonnaroo is whack! the price is ridiculous and the line-up has been freakin weird the last couple years… i love metallica… but not at a festival like bonnaroo. i went to vibes last year and it was a great festival. and only $135. vibes is da shit.

I think I paid 80 dollars for the first Bonnaroo ;D

^heady

^^^^lol at “you’re gonna have a bad time.” well played, proletariat

I agree with you about multi-band festivals. Besides 10k, which is in my backyard, I’m probably done with them now that Phish is back.

my first Bonnaroo was $140 i think. maybe a little more.

even so, I’m calling 2008 my last Bonnaroo for a while. Beyond the Kanye incident, i don’t think i could ask anymore from the place after 5 consecutive years culminating in seeing Levon Helm, Pearl Jam and Phil Lesh within a 7 hour span.

and P.S. scalpers and brokers always lose out on Bonnaroo since it rarely sells out. You’ll see them in the traffic jam just trying to get rid of tickets for anything in the traffic jam.

went the first 5 years. Skipped the last two. The first 3 years were awesome, then it started to go down hill. Money, trust fund kids, and the man once again took over a beautiful thing.
