ok, my book collection isn’t all that great since i moved but here’s what i have. if anyone has any ideas about book trading please chime in. i’m new to all this.

1- the phish book - richard gehr and phish

2- hawaii 24/7 - rick smolan and david elliot cohen
hawaii tells it’s own story in pictures

3- evasion - anonymous/mack evasion
put out by crimethinc. vegan/squatter/train hopper tells stories about his travels in a sort of diary format

4- fight club - chuck palahniuk

5- punk is a four letter word - ben weasel
columns, articles and essays from screeching weasel frontman

6- playing right field (a jew grows in greenwich) - george tabb
punk rock columnist/musician tells stories of growing up

7- recipies for disaster - crimethinc.
diy handbook on subjects from bikes, graffiti, mental health, home made instruments, unemployment, stealing utilities, plus a lot of political stuff

8- dwelling portably - bert and holly davis
collection of zines from these people from 2000-2008. stories/tips on living rent free in your vehicle or camping and stuff

9- hawaii - insight guides/discovery channel
travel guide with lots of great pics and places to go

10- california - insight guides/discovery channel
same as above but for california

11- ishmael - daniel quinn
i’m reading this right now but can trade it as soon as i get done

Hmm, I am halfway through the Phish book, willing to share when, when I get done… I shall look through some books I have and get those listed.

I think this is a great idea and know only a limited number of OKP’ers are interested so far, but if we set some generic rules and shipping ideas this could work…

I’d play fair. I think it would be smart if there are 1st editions involved, then it would make sense not to send the dustjacket. That would sufficiently devalue the book so there would be no reason not to give it back. I used to have almost all the Gonzo 1sts. Now only 3 left. I would send something like that out if I could get my hands on Rum Diary.

I’m a bit confused (which is in itself unremarkable)… are we talking about literally trading books permanently, or loaning them?

Cuz you scrubs aren’t getting any of my books to keep :slight_smile:

I’ve got the William Powell book. Also the C.I.A. “Book Of Dirty Litle Secrets”. Don’t ask me how I got it, but I think they explain it in the same book.

No, like a book club so to speak, if you have a book and 2-3 people are interested, we send them out, give the person from 3/4 weeks to get 'er done and the mail it to the next person, etc…
