Alright, now I will first ask that you please don’t bombard us with emails right away.
I am in the process copy/paste all of my data discs back on to my computer for final storage. When this is complete I am then mailing this 100 disc spindle to BigDudeInTheDoorway to do the same. This is prob 300 shows or so. I will then burn the remainder of my shows (200 or so) on to data disc to send to BigDude as well. When he has completed copy/paste on to his own harddrive he is going to create a master catalogue of the shows I gave him along with all the different shows he has. This will be around 750 total shows!!!
We have decided that since he has had to deal with an unfortunate burglary recently LeoLover will be receiving all of my original data discs for his own personal use in rebuilding his harddrive.
The DVDr catalogue will be burnt in order of what we have and therefore will be narrowed down to basically tours/year. In some cases we will have many shows from one tour so these will be spread out over a couple DVDs.
The bottom line is that these discs will be an Oh Kee Pa Library of some sorts. We will set up vines so people can copy/paste them all to their own harddrive then pass them along to the next person.
Please read the following:
1 - This isn’t going to happen for at least a month so be patient. I am just trying to gauge interest and also organize how this will be sent out.
2 - All we are asking is to cover the cost of the shipping/handling and if you feel generous some of the cdr/dvd cost.
3 - This is only Phish related material. I have lots of Dead cdrs but that will be my summer job and if this seems to be popular I will do the same for those cds.
4 - My Phish list can be found in the “CD Lists” section of this board. All shows with an * next to them means they are backed up on some cdr.
I also have two 250 binders full of Phish shows I never listen to. I cannot confirm the quality of all of them but they are of no value to me. I plan on getting rid of 90% of these shows (except all the ones I went to) to newbies and people who need help with starting their collection. I was going to break this down to three groups of shows. The Raffle has closed. Congrats to lifeandhowyouliveit, relaxation3 and nicu420yem.
Yes, we will be sending a big chunk of DVDs to the UK for full distribution throughout you folks then you can send them back to the US. Our plan is to organize it so everyone who wants can eventually obtain the whole collection. So don 't sweat it my crumpet eating friends ;D
