Has anyone on this board ever been burned by someone else on a cd trade? Would it be appropriate to for the burned to list the burners name? Thanks in advance for any advice.
If the person is ignoring you, yes I think its perfectly acceptable to let it be known that the person is not a good person to trade with. If you are still in communication with the person, its up to you to decide whether their excuses are honest and understandable.
Who are you talking about? you have to tell us now!
Is this guy’s name homerjay by chance? cuz he’s been ignoring Hank’s post all evening!
YEM burned a couple of us.
Me out of about 15 discs or so.
He is… Not around anymore.
^always a place for a good ole yem reference.
It is I “burned” homerjay on his discs. I owe him 2 shows which are sitting on my desk that I have not mailed him. I’m not sure why I haven’t but haven’t and I’m sorry for it but I’m willing to admit that I did it.
and i do plan on sending them. i dont know why i haven’t…im looking at them right now
What he said^^. I could sure go for a couple of new shows this cold holiday season.
Send those discs!
I have absolutely nothing to do with this but after all it is now in the public forum so… Don’t be a doofus, send those discs.
And if you are the victim of a burn, I say name and shame - we operate on the honour system and the only sure police method we have is the name and shame policy.
Shame on you YEM
SPOOKS - if you wish to be shamed, do nothing. If you do not want shame, you know what to do.
indirectly on the topic here… I have most all sbd’s that were posted on etree over the last year or 2. If anyone is interested in making trades, hit me up w/ a message. I would be looking for a DVD for CD’s type trade. I’m not up on the whole DVD technology. I know people trade some shows that are on DVD so if anyone has good ones that aren’t the ones that have been officially released and is looking for some rare sbd cd’s, drop me a line.
I’ve traded hundreds of times and I’ve never been burned.
knock on wood
Got burned on an analog trade in '99. Soon after that the “Good Trader’s List” was created. If you were trading with someone, you’d just check to see if their e-mail was on the list and you’d be good. It worked well.
sent em yesterday
I think we all know of someone who is no longer with us that has done this…
Oh, and Sorry, OlFactory, I haven’t gotten that show you won out just yet…
It’s been a crazy week here.
But the post office is a mile down the road from me, so it’s no exception.
I’m sorry.
^you bastard, on your knees and grovel for forgivness.
on another note:
Someone send me some discs and I’ll make sure you get burned. Happy yem!
I got 'em on Wednesday. Thanks, Spooks!
