Throughout this past 365 days iv’e realized why i love 99 so much. Sure some of the composed stuff is fucked but i guess by 99( i saw my 100th show in 99) i looked past the composed stuff. Maybe even ignored most of it just waiting to hear something fresh and origianal once the boys got past it. That is probably why most of my favorite versions of songs come from this year. I guess i started seeing things in a differen’t light. I was not as concerned about a show as a whole as just a song as a whole. That’s probably why i love 99 so much. From the Piper at Bonner Springs to the 2001 at Big Cypress i observed things on a song by song basis and not on a show by show basis. In between the songs i just mentioned were the meatstick and Ghost->Slave from Lakewood. The Sally from Blockbuster. The Fee, Birds and Tube from Va beach. The Mike’s-> Twist from Merriweather. The Chalkdust from Camden. The Bowie and Wolfman’s from Great Woods. The YEM and Icculus from Oswego. The Misty from Toronto. The encore from Alpine. The Suzy from the Creek. The Ha Ha Ha, Ghost and Tweezer from Vancouver. The Bag from Boise. The Phil show. The Boogie from Chula. The Sand-> Misty from Texas. The 2001 from Memphis. The Piper from Minnesota. The Mike’s-> Mcgrupp and Tom Marshall madness from Nassau. The Gin from Detroit. The whole 12-11-99 show. The Tweezer from NC. And the second show of hampton. These are all my reasons for lovin 99 so much. Sure i’m a selfish douche bag but fuck it man, I had a blast hearing all these feats!

no way 7.10.99 is the worst show ever, did you people forget coventry, live phish 5? the wilson -> chalkdust -> roggae makes me want to cum my pants, the gin is a very solid version…set 2 is not too inspiring, but still presentable.

i don’t want insanity, i’ve been at PT and got fed up with all the insanity!!! this place is definitly 10x less insane than PT.

I love 7/10/99 too, but I wouldn’t mention LP 5 with the phrase “worst show ever.” It’s your average great Phish show.

To be honest, before you started that thread, if you told me you were going to start one, I would have said you’re picking 7/10/99 or 7/8/00. I was a little suprised by your selection of 6/14/00.
Anyone else feel that the end of Chalkdust Torture was primed to seque into Manteca, but for some reason fell into Roggae?
