Great show…Sketches!!

They were very tight and the sound was perfect!!

Mike and Page were there rocking in the crowd…oh ya and Seth Yacovone was sluggin beers down in the crowd as well Wink

Pretty nice setlist. Sketches, Drifter, Shamemaker…I’m pretty sure How Do You Feel is probably supposed to be Nan, but that’s a rare treat in and of itself. Damn, I could go for rocking at another Ween show this weekend. Glad Mike and Page got to experience some clean-ween-action. Maybe it will show them that they don’t have to be hard on the H just because they are on the road, and they can still rock hard as ever.

It’s always fun to spot any of the boys at a show! I remember seeing Trey and Mike roaming around at the Vida Blue New Years show in 01.
Luckily they actually made it up to the stage. Gordo shredding on Guitar?

I can’t put my finger on what song “sketches” is.

I’ve never been good with names of ween songs.

Light up or leave me alone was sickness.

I’m seen Mike at some DSO shows.

I saw Ween at a Phix show.

Sketches of Winkle!

Winkle Winkle… rip rip rip van winkle!

…flying through the heavens in a fit of rage…

why don’t she love me dude?!..

You know that one Hank.

okay, i don’t know much about Ween. actually, i don’t know shit about Ween. i bought The Mollusk a while back, gave it a few spins. it was okay, a bit novelty i thought. i think there’s an album known as Country Gold which i might buy if it is actually a country album, but no way to tell. so, point me in the right Weenrection. convert me to Ween. thanks.

12 Golden Country greats is indeed a country album complete with an all star Nashville lineup known as the shit creek boys! It is perhaps one of the funniest yet nmusically enjoyable albums ever. The laughs start off when you realize there are only 10 tracks on the album!

^^ It’s very legitimate country. They use all Nashville pro’s on the album including the Jordanaires. I would also highly recommend their new album “La Cucaracha”. I’ve been listening to Ween since I was in grade 7 (1994), and this could be my single favorite Ween album. Maybe it’s an aquired taste, but everyone I play it for, ween fan or no, loves it.

the shit creek boys??? i definately need to own that album. and i will indeed sample La Cucaracha. Ween is very…odd…i guess. and though i’m curious, i’m getting set in my ways as an older child. that’s why the Mollusk didn’t quite win me over–it’s musically diverse, but like, TOO diverse or something. too damn much goin on. anyway, i’ll check out those reccommendations. thanks!

I’ll admit before Phish played Roses all i knew of them was a snippet of Video(Push th lil Daiseys) i saw on Beavis and Butthead. The first album i bought was of course Chocolate and Cheese which features Roses. Over the next couple of years i acuired many of the albums(taped from the CD’s) and the Pod is my favorite. I did not see my first Ween show until May of 2000 and boy it was worth the wait. many fans (including me) regard this the best show of the modern Ween era!
