I weather today froze the doors on my car shut. No joke. See the whole story in the “thoughts” thread.
I once made the mistake of going to a car wash in winter and froze my doors. It was a Subaru wagon, and I got the back door open, and without thinking, closed it. After a little panic had set in, it was nighttime and I had no phone on me, I went door to door to see if I could get out. With a lot of effort I got the last one I tried open. I proceeded to drive downtown to do a little shopping and pulled into the parking garage, but couldn’t roll down my window or open the door to get a ticket, so I climbed in the back seat and out the passenger side (the door I was able to open) ran around the car, got the ticket, ran back around and climbed into the front. After pulling into a spot I thought “what the hell, we’ll try one more time” and the driver’s side door opened with very little effort.
Long story short (too late!), if your doors are frozen shut, so they shall stay until a little heat enters the picture, but until then, frozen shut they shall be!
well after a nice little warm spell it’s cold as shit in MI again. oh well. i don’t know what i was expecting, it’s not even Feb yet. at least the days are getting a little longer. that helps.

ok im in iowa but feel likei live in colorado with all these snow storms .it was on the 29th that i last posted about the wheather and here i am again 2 days later crying again. the end is near folks so you better prepare your selves with much needed supplies and get ready for"the perfect storm". take heed to my warning. :o
the weather here in VA is ridiculous. It’s no wonder everyone I know is always getting sick. Just 4 days ago we had snow on the ground and here it is today…the high is going to be 67 with a low of 61. I’m wearing a short sleeved polo shirt…the other day I was wearing that plus a sweatshirt, a scarf, gloves and a friggin parka.
now it’s just warm and rainy… makes me want to curl up in bed and watch movies all day…but instead I’m here at work. Sucks.
I think the impending ‘winter weather’ blowing through the northeast may hiinder my travels. Bummer. Maybe I’ll go skat-- er – skiing up here.

I reach out to you…is there anyone out there? Has anyone else survived Death Storm 2008? I somehow made it to work today…I’ve got a load of canned goods since I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to get out of work. I mean, like the local weather channels said, it’s coming down so hard that I can’t even SEE the snow!..It’s like it’s not snowing at all, but heck, the weather service can’t possibly be wrong…they were treating this like the worst storm ever.
I’m just hoping that the TV in the lounge at work will get the Super Bowl…that is IF the Super Bowl hasn’t been cancelled…I figured that Arizona has been piled on as well.
I saw gangs taking over cities, wild dogs running the streets, dead people and abandoned cars everywhere…just save yourselves, fellow Michiganders. My hopes are with you all. Survive, my friends. SURVIVE!!!
