crashed HD!!!

The computer didn’t shut down properly, thus letting the torrent that was running run until it wiped my HD of all its memory. It seems to have crashed. I am very annoyed. :-[ :-[ I had months worth of Phish/Dead (and others) flacs/shn, and all phish’s studio CDs in 256kps. What should I do!?!

I know there is an OKP archive coming around, but that doesn’t have all the shows on my HD as well as my dead stuff… I can basically remember all of what I had if I look on deadbase and the hpb…

what model is the computer?

i hear that if you dont have xp you can still boot up in dos mode. that might be able to save everything.

did you back anything up at all?

I have XP and I was in the process of backing everything up.

I managed to fix the computer by pressing F8 while it was booting up. What a close shave! I am now backing up religiously in case something like this happens again!

yeah, cant the windows computers go back in time, using like system restore or something, and it can revert back to a day or so ago. i dunno i have mac.
