Too many cooks spoil the soup, IMHO. I dislike the idea of superjams unless you’re going to limit it to 4 or 5 people, tops.

Agreed, a small band can become much closer, and thus know each other better and jam better. Superjams are overrated.

Edited to add some detail about their future:
This was the last show that the four of them ever played together (if you consider this a phish show with Trey only playing the Encore).

Trey went on to tour with 70VP for 6 more years until one tragic evening when his drummer spontaneously combusted, in fear Trey falls off stage, and is killed by a mob of excited concert-goers who trample him to death

Fishman can be seen traveling local clubs around the Savannah, GA area reciting poetry and playing his vacuum. He lives outside Savannah and is in the Guiness Book of World Records for having the worlds largest windmill

Page tours with Estaban, and can now be seen in his own Geico commercial.

Gordon now travels the country on his segueway. He is currently in the band Salty the Pocket Knife with Screech from Saved by the Bell.

oh, and Phish never made it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, they were inched out by a very tough group… Limp Bizkit, Whitesnake, Hootie and the Blowfish, and creed.
