Create your own setlist! Vers. 2

why is it that almost all the setlists in this thread look pretty standard song-time wise?

i for one would love a 30 min. ghost for example or an hour long ya mar …

I do believe the title of the thread is “create your OWN setlist”

(NOTE: you can see Mike play this tune in the extra footage on Bittersweet Motel)
***Joey Scarbury cover (Theme from Greatest American Hero), sung by Fish

^ That looks rediculous!

(and I have noticed this seems to be Taboot’s favorite section… he never runs out of ideas!)

i already did, smart ass … and mine looks different

Now that it’s almost spring break for me and I’ve got time to fritter away on fake setlists again, I’ve decided to put a lot of thought into these. I want to try to make ‘year representative’ setlists. You know, using songs that would have been played during that era (no Seven Below’s in 95 setlists, for example)

12/14/97 Nassau Colliseum, Uniondale, New York
Set I

Encore
Julius (8:44) > My Soul (7:59)
Show Notes
*jam that sounds a lot like Shafty months before that song premiered. **stop/start funk jam that is distinct from Tube itself. Gumbo tease from Page and Trey. ***with teases of Jesus Just Left Chicago and Ghost. ^ the normal spacey hi-hat intro gives way to the subsequent space jam. ^^intro Reggae part turns into Makisupa Policeman; no lyrics were sung, so for purposes of this setlist, it will be labelled as a jam.

wow, greg, AWESOME show and great idea. i’ll start working on one.

^^that setlist looks NICE!!!

Show Notes

  • Fishman teases the opening of The Curtain before the song. **Trey introduces Henrietta as “The Kalamazoo Kreature.” ***First chorus (“David Bowie”) was played, followed by a blindsiding segue into BBFCFM. #Page’s part of the Muel Duel is Magilla, which he then takes into Loving Cup. ## Fishman: “you Michigan people sure like vacuum solos, I guess it’s because the Pistons suck, too.” Trey audibly groans and Fishman chuckles. ### With the band taking vocal jabs at Page about the Loving Cup SOAM derailment based on the phrase “Page loves cups.” #### Trey yells “Page play Loving Cup!” instead of the usual “Leo” yell. Loving Cup tease from Page.

*Trey thanks the crowd for the amazing three nights, and mentions having colonel forbins and mockingbird in his head all afternoon after soundcheck from looking up at the hill and thinking of colonel forbin climbing the mountain, so he just decided to play it. He then gives a standard narration.

umm… I have some thinking to do.

**funk jam with Les on the whamola. Includes vocal teases of Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver, Sanity, and Meatstick by Les.
***includes a bass/whamola duel by Les and Mike

please exuse my ignorance, but what the fuck is a whamola?

^ah teh whamola…its a one string bass that Les plays with a drumstick. it makes a really cool sound…anyways he played it on the Oysterhead tour and also with the frog brigade and fancy band.

IF ya go to the Oysterhead website, there’s a video of Les playing the Whamola and Trey playing the Matterhorn guitar.
