nice, Greg, nice. I especially like the first set. I was hoping you wouldn’t leave out “Jim,” which had a few standout versions in 1995. You might have included “Free” as well. But that’s neither here nor there. So you’ve done '95 and '98? I’m anxious to see '98 and '00!

22 minute Bouncing… I was waiting for something like that… Excellent job!

I’ll tackle a 2000 setlist…here’s something we might have seen oversees:

Set I:
Carini > (9:37)

Encore: Undermind (14:09) -> Guelah Papyrus (6:12)

*with whistling
^weekapaug ends as usual, but fish keeps the drum beat going (around the 11:30 minute mark), which the rest of the band picks up and eventually morphs into Brother

I hope someone praises this fantasy setlist…it is my crowning achievement in this thread

^ tweezer reprise > gotta jibboo…obscure way to start the 2nd set, i like it though. the weekapaug > brother sounds pretty inticing. sick encore as well…good thinkin’ post-hiatus guy. i praise the setlist.

commentary; What a night! As if last night’s show hadn’t got things off to an incredible start (a 22 minute bouncing!!??) tonights just shifted things up a gear. The opener Wilson had an extended intro as at the start only a few hardcore faithful were chanting, Trey held off until the whole academy had clued into what was happening. They returned to the punches for the end which dropped in effortlessly to the Zep cover. A massive and very funky gin led naturally into a sly cover which had everyone dancing and then onto the Dance. Safe to assume by this time that the large portion of unassimilated brits had been completely conquered. New Song Blossom absolutely raged for the close of the first set.

Things were tight and rocking for the opening of teh second, Piper’s storm raged quick and hard before finding a natural resolution in the classroom. FEFY made a surprising and emotional appearance before the band attacked an acapella only YEM which melded naturally into Halley’s before the effortless NICU broke out again. The night’s jam highlight was of course Walls which thrashed like a great white in a tempest. After HYHU Trey announced ‘and now time for a special gest, all the way from Stoke, former star of Take That, yes ladies and girls, go british mental for - Henrietta Williams!’ and the band played and then jammed on RockDJ as if it was written by Prince. After this carnage, Page ended the set in typically gracious style. A tight-as-fuck Stash capped off a great evening. Can’t wait until tomorrow.

Dude…dude! Maelzoid you fucking rock!
Awesome setlist!

Question: What is “Blossom”?

Read the show notes (it’s a new song)

Yes, a new song. I can’t remember which thread it was in, perhaps some of the rumours threads but some other folk had mentioned titles for new songs that I think were fabricated but sounded suitably Phishesque; Junction (from last night at Brixton) and Blossom being just two. It seemed appropriate that they would unleash some new material while over here. Who knows , maybe Mike or Trey will read the threads and actually write songs with those titles - how cool would that be?

Here’s a question: All of those others out there who go to these fictitious shows, how do you come up with teh setlist - do you plan the overall arc of teh show first and tehn slot the songs in to fit this or do you start at the beginning and just haphazardly work your way to the end. I personally tend to favour the latter, just as that is what the band do (ie no setlists, improvising the show as a whole while it unfolds), while having the goal of making it come out like the former. Give it up!

I like sticking with “themes”…i did that for my last setlists (ive only done 2).

look at my last “create your own setlist” and see if you can guess what the “themes” were. there was a different one for both set 1 and set 2.

awesome stuff maelzoid

^your simile made me smile

man, i can’t wait for tomorrow night…i better get down to london stat

Show Notes
*Trey says that they “wrote this next song for the day they would return to Red Rocks.” ** Mike says “OK, now stop yelling for these songs.” ***Trey says “after what happened on the Oh Kee Pa message boards, I want everyone to eat a lot of mushrooms before the next set…you’ll see.” #Page stands up front in a new shirt and says that the band is going to play for as long as they can. “We can’t top Big Cypress but watch us try anyway!” ##Yes, it is a 4 and a half hour long jam. The band ate a handful of mushrooms during Page’s speech and they played until they couldn’t anymore. No discernable jams present during this portion. ###A long vocal jam in which the band teases and quotes as many songs as they can think of. Ends with a group chant of “the rumors were true!”

^^^ That’s just too crazy. This may be the nutsest set yet, other than that one where Jerry came back from the dead.
