^ i love the second set. very creative low spark choice. i absolutely love traffic. i saw steve winwood this summer and it was amazing. he played a 33 minute low spark of high heeled boys. also played 40,000 headmen, empty pages, can’t find my way home, glad, rainmaker. and more that escape my mind. they surprisingly had a very phish feel on their longer jams. the insane jamming idea. especially on rainmaker(which i never like until that concert) and glad. anyways, great setlist.
Huh. I saw Steve Winwood on Austin City Limits a year or so ago and left unimpressed. I guess like Phish they had to cut their jams down/it was a different band??

- Before Wolfman’s Trey explains that the song has its origins in Simply Red’s ‘Something Got Me Started’. There is collective guffawing and general confusion from the fans, and Trey reaffirms “No…for real…it’s true” and immediately afterward they begin the song.
- Traffic cover (couldn’t resist after the last setlist, they are awesome)
% - Half “speaking” through his vaccum, Fish explains that he didn’t really have a side project so he thought he’d “just sing y’all some Syd.”
spooksgroove: what could possibly happen in a 20 minute roggae???
Also: did you get my personal message???
“If life were easy, and not say fast
We wouldn’t think about the past”
A 20 minute Roggae could go anywhere. Some of you need to get off the fact that songs can’t go anywhere live just because they’ve never been jammed before. Hello 12/14/95 Halley’s and NICU!
I realize that many on this board will hate what I am about to put down. But since I have to wake up 10 minutes earlier than usual, just to be able to decide which of these I am going to listen to on the ride in to work, a copy of this show would really solve all of my problems.

I was just asking spooksgroove where he thought the roggae would go…calm down.
I realize any song can turn into any jam, that’s the beauty of phish
I wish phish would have covered the entire albums of rift or story of the ghost for a set, rather than hoist
I for one enjoy “Roggae” live, even though all versions are practically the same. The beautiful, melodic jam that follows the composed section is quite enchanting. I think it leaves quite a bit of room for direction, especially Page and Trey.
post hiatus-check your pm. also, that roggae i put in there just to be interesting. i’ve never even heard of a 20 minute roggae, but i was wondering what what magic could be discovered. heres another…

[color=orange]^HE SHOOTS,HE SCORES!!!
i thought i went a little overboard, but i had no choice. if they are to come back and (obviously) play what i tell them, i have to make it huge! i concidered adding some Arcade Fire, since Trey is a fan, but i thought that’d be a lil’ too much.
but i like this game, i want to do it for a living-find a band and make their setlists
I know i just did one, but i thought of a sweet show…

well, maybe not cool, but i’d like it
I like how there is no stopping at all in the entire show–all segues–just imagine that
^
does anybody know of a show where that has been the case?
I know individual sets have been like that, but entire shows?
It’d be cool if it were all “->” but I know some songs just sort of blur together ( > )…I’d be impressed if someone could find a show where it is all ->
I am willing to bet a dinosaur’s left testicle that that never happened. If it did, we’d definitely know about it.
