*** trey tells a story about jimmy missing one of his ex girlfriends whose name is sarah and who is from alaska which is an obvious hint that the crowd goes crazy for. Jimmy starts to feel nostalgic about his time in alaska with his ex-girlfriend so he sings a song that reminds him of her and thats when they go into “alaska”.

As a side note, I think that this is going to be much of Phish 3.0
Much of their catalog is going to be put on the back-burner, concentrating more on their later material. Although I do think that they will sprinkle in the old songs throughout the tour, they will concentrate more on the “newer” material. And, if I can be honest, I think that’s just fine. It would make hearing some of the classics that much more special, hearing them as a “bustout” or something along those lines.
So long as they don’t center around songs like Friday, Secret Smile, Mexican Cousin, or any of the other set killers, I think that this can work just fine. I mean the newer songs listed are some of their heavy hitters, ya know.
Anyway, just my .02

Alright I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now. I’m going to have a little fun here:
3/6/09
Hampton Coliseum
Hampton, VA.

Set II: YEM>Vocal Jam>Vibration of Life, Drowned>Mike’s>Swept Away>Steep>Hydrogen>Weekapaug

Well just for fun, but I think most would walk away happy from this show. Somewhat realistic too I think. (except for the VOL, which I would love to see them do at Hampton by the way.)
Trying to be realistic…
Set 1: Chalkdust > Wolfman’s, Rift, Old Home Place, Mikes > Simple > Weekapaug
Set 2: Piper > Twist > Ghost > 7 Below > Antelope
Encore: Harry Hood
3/8/09 Hamton Coliseum

*Trey tells the tale of an older Jimmy who has taken on his share of responsibilities. He has, though, not forgotten how to let loose and have fun. He now has Posternutbag II and is well aware that Harpua has grown old and weak, however wise as well.
The cat died…
**No lyrics, kind of what B.E.K. is to Moma
