creationism takes one in the balls

they found another transition fossil…

In addition to confirming elements of a major transition in evolution, the fossils are widely seen by scientists as a powerful rebuttal to religious creationists, who hold a literal biblical view on the origins and development of life.
....One creationist Web site (emporium.turnpike.net/C/cs/evid1.htm) declares that "there are no transitional forms," adding: "For example, not a single fossil with part fins part feet has been found. And this is true between every major plant and animal kind."

[Michael J. Novacek, a paleontologist at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan] responded in an interview: "We've got Archaeopteryx, an early whale that lived on land and now this animal showing the transition from fish to tetrapod. What more do we need from the fossil record to show that the creationists are flatly wrong?"
so that makes the current score:

scientists: 273
creationists: retarded

here’s the whole article:

sweet

Creationism’s balls are so shriveled and withered, it probably won’t notice.

yea…creationists are ghey

^No, they don’t believe in that either.

theory

Theory (noun): A coherent statement or set of statements that attempts to explain observed phenomena.

^exactly.

Without philosophy there is no science.

you can definitely test/examine/predict observed phenomena without attaching significance to larger meaning. not to say that philosophy isn’t valid persuit… i just wouldn’t call it a foundation of science.

but, shit, creationism can’t even be considered theory… its not even close to being a “coherent set of statements.” some divine being created fossils to convince man that the earth is older that it really is? thats a bunch of gobbly gook.

I still think that dinosaurs were dragons and the Earth is only 8,000 years old. It just makes sense!

Creationists are stupid actually. Their problem is they try to bash evolution in GENERAL! This is impossible because it’s been scientifically proven that evolution is true. There is absolutely NO WAY a creationist can refute it.

The problem is, that creationist dispute isn’t with evolution…it’s the idea that HUMANS came from evolution. What they SHOULD do is state, “Okay, we agree that evolution exists. But we don’t think humans came from monkeys.” While there’s PLENTY of evidence to support evolution, there’s not quite as much evidence that humans came from apes or monkeys or whatever…with many of weak or circumstancial at best.

But sadly, because the creationists try to refute evolution as a whole which is impossible, they look like a bunch of religious, uneducated morons who’ve never picked up a science book in their life. That’s the problem with them in general.

Personally I couldn’t give two shits about where we came from, but it’s funny seeing the two sides bicker.

Philosophy is the foundation of all sciences. Philosophy is a science. It’s “the” science.

Without metaphysics there is no physics. Without ontology there is no biology.

yeah i can buy that.

Dinosaurs as Dragons is a GREAT theory. I will officially adopt that stance from now on. Mr. Data, make it so!

I took one in the balls the other day. Not cool.

To be fair, there is a pretty broad spectrum of belief systems that in some way reflect “creationism”. I personally think hardline, literal interpretation of Genesis as fact is totally absurd with or without evolution theory.

why doesnt my appendix do anything?

haha

anyone ever seen the movie “Monster Squad?”

“Wolfman’s got nards?!?!?!”

I have a bigger news break than this whole “evolution thing”!!!

somebody in the year 2006 just brought up the movie Monster Squad.

God bless.

If you didn’t put that quote I wouldn’t have remembered it at all! hahaha
