I’m posting this show review one week after the show. (I guess there’s no chance of a meet-up now.) The show was at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I’d never been there before, but I think it’s awesome. I would definitely go back for concerts in the future. (I skipped Keller Williams there a couple months ago, and now I want to kick myself in the balls.) The pavillion area looks big. I was on the lawn behind that. There were very few people sitting on the lawn. Certainly not sold out. Up behind the lawn there is a sidewalk along a railing. On the other side of that is Lake Michigan. It’s a really great view. That night it was close to a full moon rising over the lake as the show started. (The band commented on the moon before a song.) The moon illuminated the water and there was a huge cargo ship being guided into the dock by tugboats. (Not the Edmund Fitzgerald.) The atmosphere added to the show for me.

yeah, i was hoping to catch them in Minneapolis when they came through, but the ticket was a little much for my liking.
how were their vocals? tight as always?
looks like a good show though, those guys are legends for a reason.
I still can’t get over the fact that the first time that Crosby, Stills, & Nash played live together was Woodstock.
I can only imagine what they must have been thinking before they walked out on that stage.
That would be like if Phish’s first concert was Big Cypress.
Crazy.
^^ The vocals were great. I’m really glad that I was able to see all these guys…despite the political/anti-war flavor. (What did I expect? It was called the “Freedom of Speech” tour. All the original CSN music that I like was pretty much fueled by the anti-war rage of the Vietnam era.)
The tickets were kind of expensive ($50.) Although that does seem to be the going rate for older classic rock shows. (I paid the same for GRAB this summer, so who knows what a fair price is.) My cousin bought the tickets months ago when they first went on sale. I had forgotten all about this show. I was reminded the day before. It was a huge surprise to me and a great way to start off September.
^ I didn’t know that Woodstock was the first time they had played together live. That’s really cool. It seems to have set the tone for a great career.
