Sweet tits!!!
There are some HORRIBLE comments being left on iclips message board for this show.
All is not peaceful in hippie-land with the Dead choosing Obama. :-/
It really is ridiculous what some people will say behind a computer in the safety of their own house.
I was surprised myself that they are “picking” Obama as opposed to just it being a “get out the vote concert”, but whatever.
Who really cares!?
Bob Weir and Phil Lesh don’t speak for me or anything.
Come on people, this isn’t the Moral Majority or Christian Coalition for crying out loud.
It’s a rock and roll band.
The Dead are playing!
Enjoy it for what it is people.
For some eyebrow raising reading, be sure to check it out:

Crazy people out there for sure.
Racist, misogynistic, and anarchist as well.
All I care about is that I get to enjoy a Dead show from the comfort of my living room on this chilly February evening.
is this working for anyone?
No, It’s crashing. >:(
They said in the interview before it started crashing that it will be available tomorrow.
f’n brutal…fuck if I’m voting obama now.
Crazy Canadian, you can’t vote here!
;D
This does suck though.
I think the republicans are behind it!
iShits sucks ass!!! gah. I think it’s on sirius too.
i saw the encore that was it.oh well .will look for it tomarrow.
The setlist didn’t blow me away too much but I’m sure it was cool. I shall download and listen when I get home probably.

and I really am tired of people covering “Come Together.” ugh that song bores me to death.
Cool message and all with Bobby and Phil, hippies and democrats “coming together,” but…ugh
where can i download this?
On the internet, I think.
thanks for clearin that up, weisenheimer :
I think the reason they played it last night was that John Lennon wrote that song as a campaign song for Timothy Leary when he was running for Governor of California. It seemed like a fitting cover to me.
I got to see the end of the first set and all of the acoustic set last night and it seemed like a really tight performance considering how long its been. I could not believe what I witnessed in that setbreak though. I’ve never before heard of a Dead show turning into a political rally. It didn’t take away from the music for me at all, but if I were there, I just don’t know what I’d be thinking. I’ll hopefully take another stab at watching the replay tonight.
I kinda like Come Together, if only for the sweet lines. When you think about it, the song isn’t really about “coming together” at all and is yet another John Lennon gibberish song (which are sometimes his best songs).
Plus it’s one of the VERY few Beatles song where I think the cover (Aerosmith) is better than the original. A rare occurance indeed, especially since I usually can’t stand Beatles covers.
Stevo
setlist looks pretty rad to me and i barely like the dead.
what in the hells the matter with you, hank?! GOD-UH!
is this opening set 1 and closing set 2 with playin in the band a common thing? cuz that seems pretty seck to me. then iagain i dont know anyhting about the dead…maybe that sucks.
Kang-firmed.
Bobby has been doing that a lot and not just with Playin In The Band. I’ve seen him do that with Terrapin Station and Cassidy.
