My friend Nikolai has had the room at the Renaissance booked since January, so it’s going to take a disaster to keep me away from there. Last year was too ridiculous for me to miss this one. Flights from BHM are already $450, but I’m probably just going to have to bite the bullet. Rental car cost can be split with a friend, I think, so yeah, gotta make this one happen. Marking my calendar for sure!

I’m skipping this year. I got a feeling this year will be a dud. Hope I’m wrong for the sake of those going but I can’t help but feel it. Yeah. Ill check back in this thread come September.
^I see where you’re coming from, it’s hard to believe they’d be able to throw down three epic runs at this place in a row…but I couldn’t help but laugh a little bit about the idea of dick’s sucking (both the pun and the premise)
but at the same time, I think these guys are to the point where they can turn it on whenever they want, and it seems like Dick’s will be the place they WANT to do that…so I really see no reason why it would be any worse than the past couple years, we shall see

Got my three field tickets, my hotel, and my flight. Ready to go! Gonna be a long wait til Labor Day Weekend.
I’m still waiting on the flights from EWR to go down a bit more. Last year I bought them on June 1st for just under $300, so I’m waiting on that price point as I refuse to give the airlines anymore money.
advice on good places to stay
^ Painter, a lot of us stayed at the Renaissance in Commerce City last year (and the year before)
It’s about a 5-10mins drive to the venue, and 15-20mins from the airport. I believe a free shuttle to-fro the airport can be arranged with the hotel as well.
You were at Denver last year too? Did you come out to the meetups?
