Dicks Sporting Goods Park 8/30-9/1 2013

^had friends that i stayed with that no longer live in the area. my brothers girlfriend lives in the area but not sure we want to impose on her for a holiday weekend of Phish shows, i think we may end up getting on her nerves

So has this been the big meetup show the last couple years because uh, I got all 3 in the lotto. I AM IN!

^Word.

I only have a pair of GA tickets for the Friday show so far. The drive down the mountain is an hour + each way from Frisco & I’m not sure who’s joining me for the show. Too early to know if my wife will be around (work) or if my sister in-law will be joining me. Would like to go to the Saturday show also but I won’t commit till I have “permission” :shifty: . Depends how much “fun” I have at the first show :sunglasses:…my wife will only allow me so much  .

I’m in.

Anyone got extra tix? Looking for all three nights… preferably on the field. Lemmeno!

^lookin for a handout are ye?

scram!

and i’ll be there, too

Dude…where ya been? Hit me up for a beer!

Finally grabbed my Saturday nights after realizing I’m probably not getting field tix and Saturday night will probably sell out. Feels good to have that bit of relief anyway, knowing I’m in for all 3!

We :ugeek: Dicks!

think I’m gonna buy my stands tickets soon. floor is for rubes.

Can anyone fill me in on how the camping is?? Is it pretty cool?? Is this something that “sells out” way in advance or are the soccer fields next door big enought to hold most of the people in attendance? A la Deer Creek. Just curious, because camping onsite sounds very intriguing, but if it is going to sell out pretty soon, I may just have to get in on some downtown hotels. Any info is much appreciated!

Hit up the Renaissance in Commerce City. Great spot. I’ve never done camping there so I can’t speak for it but it’s worth it to just get a friend or two to throw down for the Renaissance. Had a hell of a great time with a bunch of Pa people there last year. And doing so again this year.

Speaking of which. Fuck yeah, Dick’s! This shit can’t come soon enough.

On site camping does actually look really nice. There is no shade whatsoever, but there seem to be plenty of facilities and nice clean grounds. I tend to walk through the camping areas just to check them out and it never seems anywhere near being full. That’s probably because there are so many hotels in very close vicinity to the venue. As Ed suggested, if you can get into the Renaissance, that is most definitely where the party is at, but if your heart is set on camping, the campgrounds are a-ok.

Back from Chicago. Only caught the 2nd Phish show, extended version :sunglasses: . Friday went to the PJ show, 3 hr rain delay. At least they finished the show, at 2 am  . I left Sunday. Lots of rain there. Good thing the rain never reaches the ground in Denver :ugeek: . I’m tired of getting soaked at outdoor concerts  .
See you in Colorado  .

The Drury Inn is super close and super nice. Free dinner, free happy hour, great indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. The Timber Inn across the street is super nice also. We will be having 80’s and 90’s music pool parties and raging balls. Come join us. WE ARE GETTING CLOSE!!!

got a room at renaissance with a buddy for sat and sun, just gonna rage all night Friday and stay with buddies. lookin forward to that dank breakfast buffet—>nap segue on sunday morning.

anyone planning any aftershows yet? I’d like to go to quixotes one of the nights, maybe score some crack outside, who knows. see where the night takes us… I know jauntee plays there sat and sun. ive never seen em but I know the drummer scott from tour in '09 and '10

NOOOIIIIOIZZZZE?

I am getting more and more excited for these shows!!!

Can they be only 17 days away?!

Hells yea!

I could hypothetically make last minute plans to do these shows, however it would not be cheap and when there is this Interlocken Fest the following weekend that a lot of my friends are attending that would be a lot cheaper, it’s making the decision a bit tougher…especially now that TAB has been added to that thing

should be a pretty fun weekend, this has become a great end of the summer tradition

leavin sometime Wednesday evening, its a solid 12 hr drive. I can chill in Denver thru Tuesday too if I want to unwind so that’s nice.

we’re gonna hit up the free Everyone Orchestra show on Thursday with Kang’d and Al Schnier and hartswick…dead cover band starts out the music that day at 4:20
