Welp, tomorrow is my 10K.
My first “road race” since 5th grade and my first “timed/organized” race since 6th grade.
I’m stoked! I’ll continue training over the summer then sign up for the Indy 1/2 Marathon this fall.

Here are a few pics of my 10K today. The weather was nice - low 70s with sun. Good turnout. I exceed my goal time by almost 2 full minutes, so that was great. Overall a great race to pop my 10K cherry.

As someone who has done a lot of consistent running in the past, I would agree that Concrete is probably the worst thing you could run on for your knees, ankles, and any other part of your body that propels you forward in daily life.
Its addicting if you really get into it, but, if you can do the same sort of intense cardio on a bike, you might want to stick to it, for the sake of your mobility down the road.
Look at the size of that boy’s head. I’m not kidding, it’s like an orange on a toothpick! That’s a huge noggin…a virtual planetoid. Has it’s own weather system.
