Dylan/Wilco/MMJ/Bob Weir TOUR!

HOLY FUCK. Epic lineup. And the tour opener is at CORAL SKY!

AND LAWN TIX ARE $25!!!

   :wtf: :sunglasses:

I just got one pre-sale. As of now no ride or sidekick. Don’t care. I’ll hitch and fly solo to that one. Badass.

Anyone else hitting this tour?

Just got our tickets.

Pretty sweet.

Didn’t see Weir in the lineup for us.

^Yeah he is only doing a few shows.

I thought about catching this in Indy or cinny but I don’t think I am gonna spend the 200 bucks for pits or lower pavillion. I really would just be going for wilco. I’ve seen Dylan several times and was never really impressed. Guess I was 20 years late to the party

^I saw Dylan 20 years ago…he voice sucked even then. :silent:

^ Lol ok well then who knows, 40 yrs late then I guess.

I got pavs for $27 on the pre-sale.

No brainer.

Dylan’s a legend(ary corpse at this point) but the other 2 bands will be fun enough

I would see this for 27 bucks…that would be about my limit to see Wilco.

No gonna lie, don’t know much about Wilco, not a huge fan.

I do like MMJ, so that’s my main draw.

Alot of people do…I tried to get into them, but I can’t. For under 30 bucks you got a great deal.

they are in my neck of the woods while I will be doing phish, so

phish wins

hope it is fun for everyone else

About to leave for the tour kickoff tonight at Coral Sky!

Psyched!

Bobby>MMJ>Wilco>BOBBY!

Awesome show!

Walked in a little late and missed most of Bob Weir’s set but fuckin’ a- he went on at like 5:45 and played for 20 minutes. But I caught Not Fade Away and that was awesome. That being the first thing you see at a show is a good sign.

MMJ- forgot about them entirely for the past 5 years. They started the big trend of the night, which was playing an obscure setlist and making it work for everyone. (This is a Bob Dylan tour after all. Conventions will be challenged and you will deal with it.) Granted, I am only really familiar with 2 of their albums (Still Moves and Z), but I only recognized a handful of songs. They sounded great. Still think they are a little heavy on the reverb (and I like me some reverb) but all aside, still one of my favorite bands to break out in the new millennium.

Wilco - I’ve seen them a few times before and this was definitely the best. Again, only recognized a few (and only really know 2 albums from them too; “Yankee Hotel” and “Mermaid Avenue”) but was pretty locked in the whole time nonetheless. It also doesn’t hurt to have Bob Weir sit in for “Ripple” and “California Stars”. Some great noise and keyboard heavy psych outs throughout the set too, really added something unique to Tweedy’s lovely songs.

Dylan - You are going to read some bad reviews of this set but I loved it. He played mostly obscure, newer songs with a few gems thrown in. But here’s the thing, him and his band are tighter than they’ve been the last few times I’ve seen him. Less jammy and wandering, more tight and theatrical. Great execution of some overlooked gems. My highlights were “Simple Twist of Fate”, “She Belongs to Me”, “Soon After Midnight”, “Love Sick” and “Ballad of a Thin Man”. Muy excellente! Not a crowd pleaser but hey fuck you, its Bob Dylan and he sounds awesome!

All and all, WAY better than my normal Wednesday night work shift.

That’s been my overall feeling the last three times I saw Dylan, but particularly this last time. He and that band were just on fire…in my mind anyway.

I had a fantastic time last night. Weir sounded great

Specially during RIPPLE
