Man, that was tough … Rift is just such an all-around fantastic Phish song. But the “Tipsy fuddled” section pushed it over the edge & I went w/Fluffhead.
I was listening to the studio Fluffhead yesterday and was (again) blown away by the wildly unusual and complicated music that goes on in the middle of that song. There’s so much to it, and it’s all so awesome (although I never did enjoy the ‘bundle of joy’ section … Rift nearly won because of that!).

Hard to compare these two, but I felt more drawn to Rift.

this one is harder cause i really love rift, but fluff is too much for rift to pull the upset.

it’s just astounding that trey could write music such as yem, fluff, reba, and split at such an early age. gives me no hope in writing my masterpiece.
