This is the only matchup that I’m struggling with.
Simple won their regular season conference championship, and was expected to win their conference tournament, but they got knocked off in the first round by a no-namer.
So that hurt their seeding.
Wolfman’s takes it slightly because of tha CLAV!

I can name 5 best ever versions of Wolfman’s off the top of my head, I can name maybe 2 Simple’s…Wolfman’s get’s it.
Neither song really sings to me, but I went with Simple because of how well it plays in a Mikes Groove.

That’s pretty good logic, I suppose. I still can’t decide…I love the funkalicious “Wolfman’s” but I love me some spacey, melodic "Simple"s.

What about HCA, and 'Ween '96? Those are some solid versions. But the best “Simple” jam, I don’t think, compares with some of the best “Wolfman’s Brother” jams.

I think Wolfmans definitely didnt get enough respect by the selection commitee based on its first round draw. I mean their RPI was 7 and their Strength of Schedule was 2nd.
Tough indeed. I say Wolfman’s, and here’s why:
Harmonies on Simple often suck.
Wolfman’s includes my very favorite Phish lyric- this isn’t who it would be if it wasn’t who it is.
Simple gets honorable mention for the OJ show though.
this is fun. wolfman in this one. just because simple can be just that. simple. and repetative taboot. there are plenty of good simple’s, but way to many great wolfman’s to win.
I really don’t enjoy many Wolfman’s Brothers, but I love me some 10-31-94 SIMPLE. Tell me you can listen to the song and not have the riff stuck in your head all day. Just tell me.
Wolfman’s isn’t a bad tune, it just never did anything for me and was frequently my bathroom break tune. Sadly I never saw a Simple that wasn’t god awful, but it was one of the first songs I ever heard and it’s always stayed with me. Consequently, it gets my vote. Don’t you guys know that skyscraper is GRAND??!!
