Halley’s is awesome.
But it ain’t no Lizards. Lizards is one of the greats … I LOVE the lyrics to Lizards … the music is so incredible, and it’s so central to the Gamehenge saga that the lyrics are seldom acknowledged. I’ll take this kind of lyric from Trey over most of the Tom Marshall lyrics. Call me names if you must.
I went with Halleys because of 11/22/97. Halleys jam’s hard, way harder than Lizards ever has, and sometimes those jams go AMAZING places. Lizards may be a better song in terms of structure than Halley’s but Halley’s can melt my face in ways that Lizards never can.
Yeah, I thought of that too. People just have different criteria that they’ll go by when voting. And whatever they decide is A-OK, because it’s THEIR vote.

Lizards wins on the simple fact (ok opinion) that the outro is one of the best pieces of music that has ever graced these ears. It just sends that feeling through my entire body whenever I hear it. Simply beautiful!
