I am holding out hope that Obama is simply compartmentalized and doesn’t TRULY understand what he supports as far as globalization and bailout and and and. Maybe when he finally gets in office his handlers will tell him the way thing “really” work and what being a globalist “really means” and he will simply not want to go along with it (ala JFK). However this is a long shot considering his support for the bills I listed above.
The thing is he won’t have to OVERTLY be a liar and criminal like BUSH because well all the heavy lifting has already been done via Bush with PDD51, Patriot Act 1 & 2, FISA, Homegrown terrorism act, SPP, bailout, etc…He can simply excercise those powers with a manufactured crisis ala false flag, economic collapse etc…and then take the plausible deniability route to sucker dupe the sheo, er, I mean the people.
IF Obama starts repealing these laws and directives and ends the war without escalation into Afghanistan and Pakistan I will be much more hopeful RIGHT AWAY. Seriously, I will.

there’s no need to tear tfp apart KR. there are legitimate reasons to believe Obama’s just more of the same, going by records. i do personally feel he’s going to prove himself to be different, but i can easily see why people would be extrememly cautious. it’s okay, he’s gonna have at least four years to prove his worth. and he better. and i’m optimistic.

charlie jack, I just read all his posts and he isn’t being ‘cautious’, he is being ‘negative’. There is no need to be that way other than what I stated in my post above. Read his posts! People are excited and refreshed and happy, and tfp’s posts are all negative, and he is basically calling everybody who are happy and excited at this time morons. I agree on this in many ways but I see this being more against McCain than it is against Obama. After all, Obama is supposed to be the liberal while McCain is supposed to be the conservative. So when Obama voted liberal on many of the issues you mentioned, isn’t that what he’s supposed to do? He was put in there by his fellow liberals so in order to represent his constituants, he should be voting liberal.
For example, the bailout bill. I hated that but I can’t blame Obama and Democrats for voting for it since that’s what they believe in! Liberals believe in bailing out folks in trouble. The problem is McCain and so-called conservatives who fucked up. If you’re a true conservative, you would have voted against that bailout in a second since it’s totally against conservative viewpoints. Yet McCain, Dubya and tons of other conservatives were for it. Obama and them are simply voting liberal on that bill like they’re supposed to…but isn’t it McCain and Dubya who are betraying the conservatives by NOT voting conservative on that issue?
The problem is the Republican party is what is fucking up because they’re becoming exactly like the Democrats. I think that’s why the Democrats have the power now…many true conservatives are angry at their own party so they’re going to the other side.
Of course, this is terrible for politics in general since we have two basically identical choices. So when this happens, the issues and the voting records should be thrown out since the two candidates are the same. So this leaves things like characters, intelligence, preparedness and making good choices as the remaining factors to decide. Overall, I guess people thought that Obama would be better at that.
So you’re in error in blaming both parties…its the Republicans who are fucking up since they ain’t even conservative anymore. And as a guy who has mainly conservative viewpoints on how government should be run, this is pathetic to me.
And I mentioned this before, thnkfrst…the whole point of “your movement” is to raise awareness and get people on your side for the eventual day when we all rise up and everything supposedly changes. Allow me to remind you that ripping on folks and calling them sheep and morons will NOT get people on your side. In fact it will cause the same type of division that the Democrats and Republicans have caused that some folks claim is part of their big plan. As it is now, you’re just becoming another group to divide us into thirds rather than halves. You’re doing the exact opposite that you need to do.
