i emalied you awhile ago about mike playing chess with us and
through Betty (phish.com employee…i’m guessing she answers
rmails and that sort of thing) we’ve scheduled a game at
www.pogo.com. It will be a live game between mike and
whomever chooses to participate on the OKP board at 9 pm
tommorrow (monday) for about an hour or so…or maybe just
how long its going to take for the game to finish…we will
be having a discussion and voting of moves in the OKP chat
room inbetween moves, so everyone can participate. as far as
i know we will be able to chat with mike throughout the game,
so that should be neat. you can pop in on the the chat room,
and supposedly you can watch the game if you have a pogo.com
account, but we’re not sure of that yet. It would probably
be best for this not to be posted until after the game is
thru because we don’t want 8,000 people asking mike if phish
is getting back together in the middle of the game…we at
the OKP have gone to great lengths to or
ganize this game and we have made sure everyone understand
that a certain courtesy should be kept towards mike if they
so choose to speak with him…and the last thing we want to
is to ruin about 3 months of hard work (tournaments placing
members in executive positions, methods of play, contact
mike/betty). We hope you’ll post this on the site at some
point and hopefully i can get some screen shots and results
to you by tommorrow night. Thanks for ur time…have a breezy day-thomas
