what is the deal with this song and what makes it so special?
Someone on the floor at MSG had a huge sign for this song, at least 2/3 of the nights. One of the nights the guy busted out the sign right as the show was ending and the band was walking off-stage. I know Trey had to of seen it…maybe they’ll play it at Miami? I’m listening to it for the first time right now…pretty cool song, I guess, and I could imagine Phish doing it.

It’s a fantastic song. I have a live version from the Who with a horn section…it’s pretty sweet. Maybe Phish is hiding…in an eminence front!!! (it’s a put on!)

i saw umphrey’s play it at Rothbury this past year. and New Monsoon plays it too. definitely a great tune, but it’s played out, imo… i feel like i’ve heard a lot of bands cover it… and there’s a laundry list of songs i’d love to hear phish play before this one.
It’s a good song… but probably the most proof that The Who lost something special when they lost Keith Moon.

Been on my list of wants forever but like Brad said it’s been done by many other bands so it would not be as special now.

I would rather see at least a dozen other Who songs before EF. Great song, but it is missing something (Moon).
It would be cool, but if UM is already doing it, then no way…Phish doesn’t wanna be “that guy”. Already enough “that guys” in the music world, ::FD coughs John Bell::.
