I’ll take fall tour any day.
Hmmm… give me summer tour… no, festivals… no, fall… no, ill take winter…
Dammit! Just give me The Phish From Vermont!
Fall Tour always had the most character imo.
and less people there for the scene and scene only.
“Fall Tour always had the most character imo.”
agreed
i think there is more electricity in an indoor setting and i love it…i will take a fall tour…oh please give me a fall tour and a new years run
Oh fall tour, how I miss you.
Snow
Hot Chocolate
a nice hotel room with freinds
and the great sound of an indoor venue
fall and new year’s run are where it’s at (or where it was at)
I never went on tour, never saw a show, but just based on listening to tapes and reading and such, I have deduced that Phish was always tighter in the Fall, at least from '95-'99. Look at the fall tours for those years compared to the summer tours…little comparison…It seems like most of my favorite shows or at least jams are from fall tours…
11/14/95
11/7/96
11/21-22/97
When I think of November I think of phish.
^^^^^ I fell bad for anyone who didn’t get to see them. Fall was the best by far and it’s a shame that someone as into Phish as you didn’t get to witness it.
Plenty of time man…plenty of time…
I’ll take any show!
But inside shows just kick the shit out of outdoor shows. The lights are WAY better. The sound is LOUDER. The band is closer. And the tickets are more limited so there is WAY more hype. Fall was were it was AT!
The only year I would probably choose summer over fall would be '98.
One thing I like better about Fall shows is that they seem a little less crowded.
they both have their strengths
i’d say summer slightly

Fall is like summer here in the desert, so it doesn’t matter. Hot no matter what.
Summer shows are great as the weather is hot and the girls wear those backless smock thingies… ahem… anyway there is something about seeing a set in the daylight that never quite does it for me… I don’t know. Also the sound is always a little crisper in an indoor setting. I’ve certainly enjoyed outdoor pavilion shows and big field events but if I had a choice I’d rather see a show in an arena, preferably the mid-size arena or even better a theater… those are my favorites… I havn’t seen Trey on his recent venture but I bet the places he’s playing are great places to see a musician.

ive seen trey in a theatre twice now and it IS incredible. the sound is so full and rich!
Fall/Winter tour, fer sure. They’re from the Northeast, of course they’re going to be better when the temperature dips. Gotta keep Phish cool lest they spoil in the heat.
Fall! I love the cooooool breezes.
