Favorite Composistion on Junta?

Mine is David Bowie. ;D

My head is just hurting from thinking about an answer this question. With an album that has such epics as YEM, Bowie, Sky, Fluffhead, Esther… I just dont know. I think I am going to have to go with the Fluff though…

I mean, how do you beat (or for that matter, even come up with) the lyrics/rhyming scheme to Fluff’s Travels? Possibly Phish was just the original white boy rappers.

I really like the jam inside of Contact, too bad they didnt play more with this part live. But I would have to vote for Foam. Just my 2 cents.

Icculus, I agree with you on Esther, it kind of grows on you. Until I actually saw it performed live, I never thought anything of it, but then bam! There she is.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm hard, sooooo hard! I think The Divided Sky!

This is too hard of a question. It depends am i in the mood for an epic, if i am i would say divided sky over YEM. But if i am looking for a shorter song i would have to say the underplayed Fee. But Fluffhead/fluffs travels are also great. but i didn’t answer the question.

now i will - DIVIDED SKY i love this song

This is too tough. Probably Fluffhead though. It’s amazing to think that this was a band’s debut release. Four nerdy college kids composing 10 to 15 minute epics in their dorm rooms and later playing them twenty years later to thousands of people. Amazing.

wow, this is a really hard question. i think my list goes like this:

  1. YEM
  2. bowie
  3. divided sky
  4. esther
  5. dinner and a movie
  6. foam
  7. fluffhead/fluff’s travels
  8. fee
not that the rest of the album is bad, it’s just that this is some of the best music i’ve ever heard.

Wash uffizi; drive me to Firenze!

Enough said… :sunglasses:

Definitely like Bowie, its so nice to jam everytime. Yem and Fluff do it to me too though.

Bowie jams are some of the best.

^Agreeeed. I never get sick of ANY of the tunes on this album.

definetly Divided Sky, whenever I hear it live its like the band is talking to me. The rest of the album is amazing though. Bowie and YEM, dinner and a movie, esther, best music of my life

there is nothing better, to me, than a “divided sky” at the end of a long day. it soothes me. unruffles my ruffled feathers. it removes all the stress and wear and tear from a hard days work. I love it.

foam then esther.

yem is gorgeous no matther how many times i hear it. it gets my vote with esther a close second.

I like how vivid of a mental picture esther paints.

whenever i hear esther (this may be wierd) i picture an animation to accompany it. you know, something along the lines of a dark cartoon. i’m sorry, but i guess that’s why i like it so much. it gives me strong visual vibes. which is a never a bad thing!

Whenever I hear Esther I actually picture the Alice in Chains video for “I Stay Away” (I believe that is the correct title). Anyways… it is all claymation of a very interesting carnival… must be why I am afraid of carny’s… “small hands, smell like cabbage”.

I kinda picture choppy animation like you would see out of a nickelodeon or an old time projector.
