the only fest i got to this year was Bonnaroo and I’ll say that aside from the Kanye incident and even though that the atmosphere has changed dramatically over the past 5 years, it was still a hell of a weekend.
Pearl Jam, Levon Helm and Phil Lesh all within 12 hours. That’s pretty fuckin’ sweet.
I didn’t plan on going to any, and I ended up going to All Good.
Had a blast.
Bella Sol at Harmony Park, south MN… Everything from Buckethead to North Miss Allstars and FB to WIB… Good times by all…

The Lake party rules! And they always have a nice variety of bands, and grounds are beautiful.
Yeah I do VIP there every summer. How bout the year with the tornado? That was crazy but this is a great early summer fest and a great way to kick off Summer-fest season.

Anyone who likes bluegrass should check out sleeping bear Dunegrass Festival its a late summer fest in Empire MI- all night party’s on the beac-some festival staples like Moe. and a lot of Bluegrass-very fun.
I LOVE Summer Camp, I’ve been 4 years in a row and would strongly encourage anyone who hasn’t been to check it out. About 10k people but it still feels like a much more intimate festival. Plus 3 nights of Moe. and 2 nights of Umphreys. Hard to beat.
However, I have been to 10klf twice and think it may be my favorite overall. Great weather, better vibes amongst the locals, great beer, less security than most festies, and usually in my opinion the best headlining acts of any festival. Past years have included Cheese, Moe., Widespread, Phil Lesh, Trey and Mike, Umphreys, etc… Can’t wait to see the lineup for this year as I am going to try and go to Minnesota for sure.
Festivals pretty much mean nothing to me now that Phish is back. I won’t be attending many.
That being said, 10k has always been my favorite, mainly because its 45 minutes from me, but also because of the hassle-free environment, good weather, vibes, all that. And I will more than likely make it my 7th 10k next year, unless the lineup is really bad, or a Phish show conflicts with it.

10k is like a 14 hour drive so we skipped it this year and did summercamp, rothbury, and sleeping bear dunegrass wanted to do moedown but money was tight I know a guy in banyon (cali based band) who got me backstage at moedown a couple years ago it was muddy as fuck but the most fun ive has at a fest so far
