Also that huge Bass slap by Mike in YEM right before
wash your feetz …of course the best is 12-31-93
HUGGGGGGGEEEE!!!
This isn’t necassarily a song, but…
When you are in an indoor arena… you see a little bit of movement by the stage… the lights drop… the boys enter.
That always made me stop mid-sentence, turn my head, and get ready for 3 hours of mind fucking.
I agree with the Mike kick in bass at the beginning of the Reba jam…so damn mellow.
I’ve always been partial to the piano/guitar middle section break before “The Muscles flex the Mother’s Ring” vocal in SQUIRMING COIL. The melody gets me evertime!
YOU GOT TO RUN LIKE AN ANELOPE, OUT OF CONTROL. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN… you get the picture.
How bout the harmonics at the beginning of Billy Breathes…
“I somehow feel forsaken”
“Don’t take another…Don’t take another”
The “ahhhhhhhh” in Divided Sky
The banker said
I ain’t got that
But I sure got some powerful pills
OOOOOOHHHHHHH YEEEEAAAHHHHHH!!!
:o “Lost my mind just a couple of times” always made me worry a little more than usual…
ALL of Billy Breathes (the song) is fvcking brilliant. I love that tune…
I am probably in the minority here, but I love the guitar loop intro to ‘Ghost’ that they did from roughly 98 to 00. Sure 11/17/97 is still my favorite ‘Ghost’ ever, but I love the mid-life intros to ‘Ghost.’ Why, post-hiatus, they went back to the ‘start from nowhere on a drum groove’ version, I don’t know. ‘Ghost’ to me always screamed loops and psychedelic funk. It’d be like if they named a song ‘Alien’ and played it bluegrass or acapella style.
Actually, that’s EXACTLY what I’d expect them to do…
i like the loop intros too…good call greg
Top 3:

Scent of a Mule is a bluegrass tune about UFOs…
