I always like hearing 7 below live; especially when they jam this song out like crazy. 46 days also a good live piece.
Seven Below just seems like the quintessential post-hiatus Phish jam. It can be a short version, segue into or out of other songs, be in the middle of a song, or be a long version on its own. I could also easily see it open or close a set, though I don’t remember if it ever did or not. Definitely a meaty jamming song along the lines of Down With Disease.
I like Walls of the Cave a lot live. The jam is, or was, always very strong each time I saw it.
seven below or pebbles and marbles. i’m not sure if pebbles and marbles is so much a jam rather than just a really good song, haha.yea, i like the idea that seven below is an all-purpose jam song, and the jam is really great (the ones i’ve heard). oh shit! i almost forgot waves. waves is just a great song by itself, but i really really really like the jams it can make. i like that it’s really open-ended to different kinds of jams, like it could go anywhere.
7 below was taken in more directions than any of the others, so it gets my vote.
- 46 Days
- Walls of the Cave
- Pebbles and Marbles
walls of the cave is good, but it tends to interupt the flow of a show. IMO
all i know is that i didn’t care to much for the anything but me at alpine on 6-25-04 but they made up for it with an amazing 7 below.
I have never heard a live all of these dreams.
Heard one at East Rutherford 2/24/03. Not much different than the album version as far as i remember.
7 below definitly gets my vote. Saw it live at least 5 times with great jams everytime. IMO this was easily their best new post-hiatus song.
I think that most people will say that it is 7 below. so i guess a better question is which song do you like to see the least. ANYTHING BUT ME is mine. This song seriously bores me.
that is a hard question as 7 below, waves, 46 days, and pebbles & marbles can all achieve great status when played live. as a whole 7 below receives my vote as all the live versions i’ve heard sound great and espcially after witnessing the version from 6-25-04 at alpine sticks at #1. but saying that i think one of the best jams i have heard live from Round Room was the waves at IT. very tightly played by the band just as the whole weekend was but something about treys riffs during the peak of the jam get me everytime.
Despite the amazing 7 below I saw 7/13/03, I gotta give my vote to Waves.
The title track “Round Room” is my favorite. I’m probably the oddball of the bunch, but I like the feel of it…
“Pebbles and Marbles” is a very close second…
i just went ot momadance and heard a live walls of the cave and it was fantastic.
My first post-hiat show had Walls of the Cave, and I really didn’t know what it was, because I hadn’t listened to Round Room before it… Let’s just say I was slowly falling in love with that song, plus that night was definitely a Page on fire night, so he just took me all over the place.
Pebbles and Marbles like things on my mind baby. Although I really like a really funky 46 days, and there have been some epic Waves. I just love the lyrics and the whole piece of Pebbles and Marbles. 7 below is great too, but I have to be in the mood for it.
i’m so sick of 46 days, trey plays it too much, probally pebbles and marbles, and round room from 2.28.03 is good but mexican cousin is a fun one too
Trey Played an accustic mexican cousin in chicago this last tour. I really have a dislike for that song. He redeemed himself with Bathtub Gin and Strange Design.
Walls of a Cave and Pebbles and Marbles.
I missed them Walls of Cave at Coventry because I was still walkin in, but I heard it afterwards on MP3 and was blown the fuck away. And Pebbles and Marbles is so chill and I remembering downloading off Kazaa almost right after the album came out.
