Alpine Jam was from 2nd Night Alpine 04’…And what a Jam it was!!! That 2nd set was really good up until they played Friday, then it fell flat on it’s face, fortunately the Piper/Harry combo came to save the day…

I remember saying to my buddy as they went into Ghost “That might be the last “Big Jam” we ever hear from Phish” since at the time I thought it would be the final time I saw Phish live…

Tinley Park Jam was on that LivePhish disc that I think went something slightly like this:

What about 6/14/00, Fukuoka, Japan: Back on the Train, Twist > Fukuoka Jam 1 > Walk Away > Fukuoka Jam 2. WOW, good stuff!

God I hate it when they started with this whole “##### Jam”

It never used to be referred to as a seperate entity from whatever song was being played out.

Since voting “other” is too easy, I went with Pittsburgh Jam b/c that jam out of “CxP” might be my favorite PH jam period.

There was a thread about this a few years ago. I think they did it so they could split up songs and make more tracks which leads to more revenue. Or something.

I wish I could find that thread because someone explains it. I think.

I could be mistaken… but possibly all the “Jams” come after cover songs? That way they only have to pay royalties for the base part of the song.
