was only time I saw them post Hiatus, besides Hampton '03,which I had a blast at because the boys were back,and the energy of the place, some songs were good imo. but Miami Just seemed to move me each nite! seemed each night phish played so dif each nite it was like all four sides of the band were displayed of the all there playing yrs put together! anyway really enjoyed Miami being 4 of the 7 shows I caught that yr!
Feb 03’…They ripped shit up that month…Summer 03’ is a close 2nd…
Get 02-20-03, best PH Show in my opinion, and is one of Shapiro’s sleepers for PH Phish…

Man, now I’m bummed cause I saw Phish in Feb '03 and it was not so hot… maybe it was the venue, the Forum kinda stinks… but after that show I just wasn’t very motivated to go to more shows. Now I need to go back and listen to see what I missed…

Hard choice between, feb 03 and summer 03. I went with summer 03. I think they were locked in better.
Go back and listen to that show, you might be pleasantly surprised…It’s funny what you think when you are in the moment…Get the SBD and give it another whirl…
When I left 02-20-03 at THE WORST CONCERT VENUE IN THE COUNTRY (Allstate Arena, It was Rosemont Horizon at the time) people were saying it was the WORST SHOW EVER…It’s still to this day my fav PH show (the SBD is SICK!!!)…
easy for me… Winter '03 is MONEY. Has my favorite moments, AND is the most consistent. Not dragged out too long, either. When BB King came out it made for the WORST show of the tour IMO, so it must be good.
Summer 03 is definitely my favorite post-hiatus playing. I think if you look at Feb. 03 you’ll see a couple good shows, but Summer 03 was consistently better. Of course there were more shows and a Festy so they were able to find their groove as you can tell as the shows seemed to get progressively better as the tour went on.

I hear this a lot from fans. Why is the Phish show w/ BB King bad? I think the Phish songs are good and jammy and the shit with BB is EPIC! It’s fucking BB King jammin w/ Phish. They covered 3 songs in 40 some odd minutes, jammin the blues BB style. A career HIGHLIGHT in my book.
That is one PH show I have not heard it in its entirety; however, the “Halley’s” is hot. Plus, it’s got a slew of my Phish favorites: “Hood,” “Farmhouse,” “Disease,” Waves," “Twist”…
I am guessing the argument from a lot of fans (pure speculation, as clearly I was not there and have not heard this show front-to-back) is that the whole “guest appearance” thing ruins the flow of the show. OK, that explains the first set, what about the 2nd? Is it really that bad?
When live phish downloads started, 2/24/03 was my first DLed show to go on the iPod! It’s a kick ass concert.
Anyone give this show a chance yet? Good stuff!
meh…the DWD opener rips it up big-time and the Halley’s jam is good, but besides that I don’t enjoy the show too much.
