As much as I love 2000, I wouldn’t put 6/14/00 in the mix for “best/favorite show of the year.”
the second set of that show would beg to differ. is everyones favorite show of 2003 2-28 Nassau simply because of the fact they played destiny unbound? (though i do like it, and the tweezer) i liked 3-01 and 7-29 a bit more. not to mention IT.
I like 2-28, but it’s not my favorite from that tour. I like 2-20 and 2-22 better.
^^I don’t like 2/28 just because they played Destiny, I just think it’s an all around great show. I did consider putting 7/29 down instead, but decided that I like 2/28 slightly more.
I start at 93 cause i can’t take the electric piano and it’s all i have room for. and I have everything from 93 on. and i mean EVERYTHING. so here goes:

1995: 11/11… whole fox run is sick. 10/21, 10/24, 11/19, 11/25, 12/29, 12/31 runners up
1996: 10/31… 12/29 and the cliff are up there too
1997: fuck… im going 11/17… for now. 07/23, 08/17, 11/22, 12/06, 12/11, 12/29 are close
1998: 11/29, runners up 07/09, 08/06, 04/02, 04/03
1999: 07/13 or 12/18. love 07/03, 09/14, 09/21, 09/28, 09/29
2000: 06/24… 06/09, 07/06, 07/11, 09/17 are sick
2003: 08/02 or 02/28… 02/15, 02/21, 02/26 are sick
2004: 06/19 or 06/25
^ Dude you really need to revisit 1994…Some epic shows in there.
oh yeah i know i was saying mehh because picking one is just too daunting a task, not cause that’s how i feel about the quality of the shows. poor choice of words.

9/13/90 - a lot of firsts; and a Dude of Life Appearance
3/13/91 - …I could probably think of some better ones actually, but I think this is a great show.
4/18/92 - Gin and Antelope
3/22/93 - Gamhenge…need i say more.
5/27/94 - REBA
10/28/95 - A dark and dirty second set…10/31 is a very close second
11/7/96 - This second set is very arguably what got me into phish GREAT GIN
11/22/97 - Halley’s shaken not stirred…just the way I like it.
11/2/98 - Although it is maybe my least favorite encore ever.
12/31/99 - Duh.
5/23/00 - Ghost!
7/9/03 - I like this Shoreline run better than IT

A couple changes from the other thread that is exactly like this thread, that some great mind thought up oh so many years ago.

I like the early years, but the vast majority of my Phish listening is '93 and beyond.
Occasionally I’ll throw on a '92 show, but Page’s piano sound in that era keeps me from listening to those shows more often. I haven’t heard enough of those years, though, to choose a favorite from each year.

I remember starting a thread about that. It used to bother me too, but I like a good 90-92 show.
I love '91 and '92. The Colorado shows from spring '91 are awesome.
No shit man. Or '89? I have a friend who only likes the '80’s Phish that I play for him. I think he’s beginning to come around to liking a bit more of the phunk. He said he’ll go to some shows with me when the time comes, but he mostly likes the '80’s Phish. I do play a lot of Early phish around my place though.
I’ll stick to 95’ and on because for the years before that I have no more than like 5-10 shows per year so not a good sample to pick the best for the whole year.
1995 - 12/31 - cliche’ but it’s cliche’ for a reason.
1996 - 12/6 sittin’ on them stacks a seeds…lol 11/2 was a consideration.
1997 - Oh boy…Gonna go with 11/19, but 11/17, 11/23, 11/22, 12/6, 12/30, and 7/1 all come real close. I just love me some Cow Funk.
1998 - 7/15 with 4/5, 7/6 and 11/27 close.
1999 - 12/31 not much contest there…
2000 - 7/11 Chalk Dust Torture!!! Chalk Dust Torture!!!
2002 - aduh
2003 - 2/15 followed closely by 2/28 and a little bit farther back 7/15, 7/29, 3/1, 2/26.
2004 - 6/19, but If 6/26’s first set wasnt as mediocre as it is it would be top (second set is ragin’)

1994 MSU Fieldhouse East Lansing. Only '94 show but Lifeboy was an Anthem that night.

1999 7-13 only b-day show( It was pretty good also), 7-15 I can’t say enough about it. I was real sober for this one and I still kinda lost my shit.
2000 Deer Creek was nuts (My bootlegs are labeled with photos of a room full of people dressed as Dr.Hunter S. Thompson.
