I’ve never been skiing, but there seems to be plenty of places to go relatively close to here. I’m sure they’re not very good because it’s mostly man made snow, but I definitely wanna try it out when I get the chance.
Smuggs is great in VT…a big mountain resort that is not that crowded.
I’ve only been to The Canyons and Park City in Utah, but The Canyons was definitely better…all terrain is much more accessible than PC.
I’ve only ridden Breckenridge and Keystone in CO, but I preferred Keystone.
After living in Oregon, my favorite mountain is still Bachelor, but I am bias…Squaw Valley is ridiculous if you score it after a big storm.
Jewish Mom = No dangerous activities! ;D
Although Hot Dog the Movie was a favorite growing up! ;D
I’m well acquainted with Stowe, I had a pass for 4 years while in school. A great mountain with lots of the white stuff, though incredibly pricey recently. I hit Jay for the first time last year and found a new local favorite, especially with the VT resident discount! I’ve had good and bad days at the Loaf, it seems to be either freezing and windy or sunny and snow filled. I think my above comments were more of a generalization of the east/west debate. I learned here in the east, but had to relearn the art of the pow when heading west!
Smuggs has the best deal in Vt. the bash badge…pay 100 bucks…gets you free before dec 18…20$ between then and March 1 free till the end of the year…plus the black bear (baratbottom) has the best Venison chili in vt
And don’t miss the Prohibition Ale (same as Jay peak and Mad river single chair) ale at the base…mmmmmm a fine Longtrail product
