This is a tough one. I want to say Maze, and also My Friend My Friend. I think I’m going to have to go with the friendly one.

Mound - this was one of the phirst phish songs i really enjoyed, the bitchin’ bass work; the catchy verse. good tune

I really like RIFT. It’s a great album with some interesting tunes. It also is kinda’ a transitional album for the band. I remember buying it new! I listened to it constantly with bong in hand, trying to let the tunes sink in. That was a great year. Their tours that year were awesome, too. Always fat jams and sweeet shows.

since it’s a concept album with such great flow can I just say the whole album is my favorite song?
i have done this hundreds of times and some people have never heard of this. “what is it” you ask? well in the spirit of the floyd and the wiz o’ oz, if you play rift with fantasia. holy tomatos! you may be thinking… yeah right. well yeah. right?! here’s the low down… put disc in your player and set it to repeat the entire album and get it ready to play ( pause it right as rift starts so you just have to hit play for the song to go… it eliminates wasting time to fing the first track.) once that’s set up play the movie from the beginning, and after the orchestra finishes tuning and the conductor gets up and raises his arms to start the show ( GET READY) as soon as he drops his hands hit play. some seements are go frame for word. lengthwise and the beginning of maze w/ the shrooms are one of my favs. rift will play 2 1/2 times. enjoy the devine creation.
This is the toughest of the “what’s your favorites”. I love “Maze”, but “Rift” is right there as well.
I think it would either have to be wedge or horse-silent.

It’s Ice has always been one of my favorites. Weigh is also a great one. A very good album all the way around.
That sounds awesome man, I will have to try that ASAP. Fantasia is already so visually stunning when you’re trippin, but to throw in some Phish that plays hand in hand with the visuals. I am floored thinkin about it. But back to the subject of fav songs of the album. Usually I prefer the up beat songs but I love Horse>Silent in the morning (it reminds me of coming down from some psychedelics and burnin a spliff with a great friend as we were leaving one show late at night tohop back on the highway and drive to our next show)
It’s ice is so sick. mike really plays some great lines on that song.
