Re: Jibboo. I used to wonder what old timer Phans would mean by “setlist buzzkill”. I only went to 5 shows and at 6/19/04 SPAC, set II started out with a monster A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing and that epic Piper. At one point near the end of the Piper jam, I could swear that Fish started up the beat to The Wedge but he got overruled. After 32 minutes of Piper, I really felt like a short, punchy rock song, like, say, Sample or Golgi. Instead there was…Jibboo, which took the air out of the crowd a bit (a lot of people around me sat down) as it seemed too similar to the Piper jam. Mike ruled that second set and so I’m gonna blame him for the Jibboo call!

The studio versions of Twist and Gotta Jibboo are great, a bit better than most live versions. I pretty much like everything on Farmhouse.
