Favorite Song

I don’t think I have listened to this CD in close to a year, so this is all from distant memory. But I think my favorite song would be “Round Room”, I am probably biased however, because I saw Mike Gordon do this on his solo tour which has caused this song to jump out at me.

Ahhhhh, Pebbles and Marbles!

Waves. I am addicted to the guitar part, and any song that has a long build-up is just fine with me.

Seven Below without a doubt. This song got better and better everytime they played it.

Seven Below. My baby girl loves this song too.

pebbles and marbles is a beautiful song, but i don’t think that it fit well with trey’s new sound. would have loved to have heard it pre-hiatus.

Now I am hooked on WALLS OF THE CAVE, thanks to hearing it at the fabulous Nassau Coliseum show in February of 2003. Most people might recall the Destiny Unbound from that particular gig but there were other standouts in the set as well.

Seven Below is a great song and has probably the catchiest melody on the album, but I wish there were more lyrics to sing to!! (Only one short verse)

I have 3 gems on this album.
WOTC
7Below
Pebbles and Marbles

i dont have this one yet, but i am love pebbles and marbles. love…

“Pebbles and Marbles like things on my mind”. Either live with Phish or acoustic with 70 volt parade this is hands down my favorite song from this album.

Waves is a close second place though. i love Trey’s build ups better than anyone else in the business.

I heard (and read) that “WOTC” is partly inspired (or fully, I don’t know) by the events of 9/11/01. Can someone verify or elaborate on this?

I’m rediscovering this album BTW… Three faves at the moment-- two of them from Trey’s ballad box:
Friday– a great “broken” solo that builds wonderfully. Very Robbie Robertson-esque
Thunderhead (yes, you naysayers… a beautiful ditty and Trey’s raspy, slightly off vocals work great here)
Waves (this has always been my favorite song on the album)

Waves blows me away, so cohesive, ego-free playing, a unique piece that moves me every time.

I love all the songs, but Waves and Mock Song seem to give me chills.

Seven Below and Pebbles

Pebbles and Marbles just speaks to me…46 days and WOTC close behind it

MEXICAN COUSIN
I FUCKING LOVE TEQUILA
IT REMINDS ME OF EVREY GOOD TIME IVE HAD

Mock Song…I’m obsessed.
