Season 2 just started up last night. Who’s getting their Thrones on with me?
I’m into Game of Thrones!
Haven’t read the books as I like to see the shows / movies before reading the books so I don’t feel ‘let down.’
I didn’t think the first eps of the 2nd season was that great. Only one dude died gruesomely, although a bunch of bastard children died too. But I want to see more action and bloodshed … from fighting people and not defenseless children…
Hope the rest of Season 2 steps up to my expectations!
These first two episodes have been pretty brutal. Joffrey is a piece of shit, but he’ll get his…right? There is almost too much going on. It’s too bad they couldn’t make 20 episodes per season and focus a bit more on exposition. They’re starting to confuse me again by continuing to add more characters every episode.
I really like the Nights Watch though. I was excited for Aria to meet up with Mark Snow, but now I have a feeling that might not happen with how the last episode ended. Do you think they (Nights Watch) are going to take up arms against the Lannisters? Regardless of what happens there is definitely going to be a very epic battle sometime soon.

i watched the entire 1st season IN A DAY last summer 
^^ a lot about this new season feels a little different to me… storytelling, pacing, and even cinematography.

I can’t fucking believe they killed Ned as they did. Holy fuck! Obviously it pushes the story forward, but I thought this guy was the “face” of the show. Shows how much I know from advertising!

Tyrion Lannister takes over Ned Starks position as hand of the king in the second season, and they’ve also really made him the face of the show, in that he is the first person listed in the credits at the beginning, and it just seems like last season was about how Ned Stark played the game and this season is shaping up to be about how Tyrion Lannister plays the game.
Remember, when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.

should I watch this show? I see it’s on our dvr…only recent episodes though. so I’d be starting on season 2
^ Yes, you should watch this show, but you really can’t start from season 2. I started from season 1 episode 1 and watched it all twice, and I’m still not sure I actually know what’s going on. Someone you know has to own the DVD’s…or just rent it or dl it or find some way to watch it. You’ll be glad you did.

Spoiler Alert for those who has not seen Season 2
Peter Dinklage, the actor who plays Tyrion, won a ton of awards for Season 1. He is DEFINITELY the most famous / well-known actor on the series atm, let alone the most decorated (in terms of Awards,etc), so he should be listed first in the Cast. I’m sure his agent made sure of that before renewing his contract for Season 2.
^^ I don’t know wtf that was. Was it one of those White Walkers, or Night Walkers or Dark Walkers, or whatever they are called? Either way I think a full grown dragon could take one of those guys out no problem.
^ Oh yeah…I’m pretty sure Dinklage has a lot of pull. The last thing they want is him quitting on them now, but even still, do you think he’ll make it through this season? He’s been pretty good at hedging his odds for survival so far, but Joffrey is gonna get pretty pissed off at him sooner or later. Who do you think is going to die first; Joffrey or Tyrion?
What if the entire series ends with Joffrey remaining king? Would there be rioting in the streets?
Joffrey will die before Tyrion. Tyrion’s character is too smart for Joffrey.
I have not read the books or anything so that’s just my educated guess.
The fact that I absolutely hate Joffrey this much, shows how good the writing is in this show/book.
