Which GD Dicks Picks Cd is a good starter for the series? Is there anyone that stands out as a gem to get first? Also, is there anyone of the series not worth getting? Maybe a bad mix or just not very good?
I’ve yet to hear one that I didn’t like, but I probably listen to Vol 4 the most.
Not a fan of Dick’s Picks.
He picks good shows, but overall I am weary about his mixes. Seems Jerry is always WAY up front, and a lot I am barely able to hear Phil or Bobby.
Jerome’s Place, LossLess Legs, and eTree is the way to go. And Archive.
Dicks Picks volume 1 is a classic. There definitely are a few of them that aren’t that good because Jerry just sounds a bit rough in them. I can’t really tell you which volumes are the bad ones because there’s 36 of them, and I really don’t remember.

Another good one is 14, or maybe its 15, its the Englishtown, New Jersey show from '77.

Not familiar with numbers but 5-8-77 is quite goos and Phil overpowers Jerry nicely throughout the mix! Another is Boston Garden, i think 6-28-74. The sickest MLB Jam is featured on this one!
#10 was the first one I bought. I like all the Dick’s Pick’s from the 60’s the most though. I stopped collecting them after I got #1 - 26. I figured at that point that was enough.
