and what’s a glowstick war?
Fuck glowsticks. Seriously. If I’m there grooving to some amazing deep psyche/deep space Phish jam and people bust out the glowsticks and take my concentration off the music I would be pissed. I’m there to hear music and experience all that is Phish, not be pegged in the face by a hippie/raver’s poor excuse for a flashlight.
Greg, when was the last time you went to a concert?
I know that you never saw Phish, and that you didn’t go to any Grab shows…so, when? And who?
twas part of the “Phish” experience my friend. It just got WAY outta hand towards the end. Jerkoffs started whipping them at band members, most notably Trey, and it got ugly
yeah man…if people just stick to rings instead of sticks there’d be no problem…
but to get rid of them completely would suck balls!
the best/most intense part of coventry was undoubtedly dwd, complete with the most massive glowstick war that may ever happen…twas teh awesome
dude. calm yourself. it was just a funny question to ask. get it?
^ yeah dan!! that was NASTY…i was right up front and i looked back to see a sea of orange glowsticks working it’s way down the side i was on, just enormous, it looked like the place was on fire. HUGE war.
Ditch the glowsticks, substitute with glowrings, and STOP THROWING THEM AT THE BAND!!! If these small requests can be met, then I am all for it!
^I think most , MOST people on here mean GLOW RINGS… Sticks are far and few these days, atleast from what I have seen!!!
what about glow worms?
anyone remember those? I always thought they were a little freaky and Jim Hensen-esque.
Probably a good thing noone threw those, they needed like 4 D batteries to work
^YEAH I DO!
I can confidently say there’s a 98.9% chance I’d have never thought about those things ever again unless you mentioned it LEO, but they occupy some fond memories from my infancy

i think i’d rather be on the back of it…sorry…couldn’t resist…feels shameful…
is it me, or does te worm look a little blazed?
RIDE IT DAN!!!
so i saw that pic dan put up and it didn’t seem to fit what my memory of the Glow Worm was when i was a kid. it was the all green one that i remember. regardless, after much research i have found out one thing…
THESE THINGS ARE FUCKIN’ CREEPY.

^^ That’s what Im talking about Tube! FREAKY!!
^^Ma ma… HELP ME!
The Chicago Theatre got SOAKED when Panic started playing ‘Chilly Water’ on the last night.
Water was flowing all over the place…
I got moist.

My cousin was the girl holding one on the box for these ones. They were kind of hard plastic, not very comfortable to sleep with. Glorified portable nightlight.
Glowrings 4 life
At the GRAB show I saw when they were coming out for the encore someone just fucking nailed Mike with this huge glowstick. I mean he did not even see it coming. He looked kinda pissed. It must have hurt. It was in Raleigh by the way. I remeber seeing Trey get hit a lot at Hampton.
If you listen to the 7 below from that show you hear him bring out his guitar tech. I think thats cause a glowstick hit looping pedal in his rig and fucked somthing up, and he was to fucked up to fix it so his tech had to come out and do it. My friends and I were off to Mike’s side right on the rail of the stands so we really had a great veiw of what was happening. If you listen to the tapes you can hear that loop going no where for a minute or so before the tech comes out.
I love the glowrings, but the glowsticks suck. They don't distract me form the music but it sucks watching the band knowing they are worried about getting hit, and worrying that some ass is going to hit them.
The Phish show I am reffering to is 08/09/04
why would anyone in their right mind throw ANYTHING in the general direction of the stage? I always throw behind me or at the very least directly to the left or right of me.
I was thinking it would be a really good thing to sell at shows to get money for the next show, bc its legal unlike most things people sell to get them selves to the next show.
Drugs, sell drugs not glowsticks.
Drugs don’t hurt people, glowsticks hurt people
