It seems as though Manny might actually appear to be content. Through his unofficial soap-box, Julian Tavarez, he seems to want to end his playing time in Boston. He previously made claims to want to hang 'em up after 2008, but now may exercise his 2 $20 mil/yr options and play through 2010. I never want to see him hit for anyone else.

^^I remember when he was a young buck, absolutely slaying the ball for the Tribe. Even when you guys had Thome, Manny was the only one I really feared.
When he signed with the BoSox (happy Hank?) I thought his contract was absolutely rediculous. Well, after watching him for six years I understand why they pay him so much. People think he is lazy and doesn’t try, but that all changes when he gets in the batter’s box. Most writers who follow the team closely will tell you he is often the first at the park working out, studying film, working in the cage, etc. It really shows, especially when you see the hard line drives going to the opposite field. The man just knows how to hit.
So I read today that Carl Pavano threw yesterday, boy am I glad we passed up that train wreck. He even has suitors! I mean, is that an arm you really want to be chasing? Well, I guess if you’re the Rockies you’ll try anything.
