How about 2/20/93…I listen to this second set at least once every couple of months, which is often given all the Phish I have to listen to.
5/3/91
12/28/94
12/31/95
7/16/98
7/10/99
12-29-94…the “go to” show. my first lp purchase, i’ve listened to this show so many times but it’s still always a prime choice.
also 12-17-95, 8-14-93, as well as all the soundboards i own.
My go to shows seem to revolve around 3/1/97 and 4/3/98.
The Germany show versions of Wolfmans and Mikes are just so tasty. And I can’t say enough about Nassau.
thats what im talking about! one of my fav shows of all time and it barely gets talked about. there is a great sounding recording floating around so get it if you can. im glad i was fortunate enough to be at this one.
^Yeah, I hear there’s some matrix ripped from a Japenese bootleg in circulation…
whenever i feel down, i always listen to the halloween 95 YEM. it always makes me happy, without fail.
I will agree with that YEM, but I think my go to show is 11/17/97. How do you beat a show like that? Another great fall 97 show, mabey not the best but very well rounded show.
^^^ Agreed… This is a go to show I forgot to mention on my previous post. Probably the first go to show I listened to considering the time that I got into Phish.
I have to say, 11/17/97 can always singlehandedly make my day better. Once I get to the jam portion of the Tweezer I am in absolute bliss for the next two and a half hours.
and also,
1997-12-06
1992-03-13

12-06-97. yes, yes, yes. i really can’t believe this show hasn’t gotten the “official” treatment. 12-07 is great to be sure, but it holds no candle to the previous night IMO.
I do the same thing that William does, except I do it with the year 2000.

I am sorry to hear that… really, I
Now I know how people who watch reality TV feel.
But in all seriousness, it is not that I think 2000 is musically superior to all other years. Obviously I think other years are better in terms of quality, tightness, and improvisation.
The year 2000 holds special meaning to me because it is when I first “got” Phish. It takes me back to a simpler time, so that holds a special place in my heart. That is why I love 2000 Phish, not because I think it would beat up 1997 in fight to the death in a six-sided ring of fire.
OBI WAN has taught you well!
Been the same show for me since I got the tape in 1991, I have gone through at least fifteen copies of this show in various Analog and digital formats over the years…Green Mountain College 12-08-89, Trey is so shredding on this show it never ceases to bring a smile to my face, Second set Harry, Slave , Tela , Timber, U Enjoy>Possum Fire is utter sickness
Sugarbush 94
Denver 97
Townsend Family Park 89
three LIVEPHISH releases???
that is not heady at all Brady, you know
i can usually only listen to AUD recordings once, maybe twice…
through headphones and by myself.
i have plenty of soundboards too but those shows are the staple of my collection. Keep them in the car and put them on whenever the energy is charging. That’s what Phish existed for.
and i thinks its plenty heady. Maybe even too heady for you to bare.
