my roommate and his girlfriend are fighting again…I can hear their muffled yelling from out here in the living room.

Strange feeling today. I start my vacation this afternoon - won’t be back in the office until Monday at 9:00am - but it’s just an odd feeling I’ve got. Looking forward to being with the family, though.

My Christmas shopping is officially DONE, and I can now switch gears: I can go from “I can’t wait til Christmas so that the pressure of shopping can be overwith”, to “I can’t wait till Christmas cuz these gifts I bought are so cool”. That feels great, like I’ve reclaimed Christmas from the clutches of the mall or something.

Morning everybody. Working on xmas eve, w00t! Who’s with me?
I’m working a while this morning at my home office, then a sushi buffet lunch with friends and then home for more work, of sorts. Have to make Swedish meatballs, boil eggs, bake potatoes, wrap bacon around the scallops, and generally do the prep work for the Christmas Day eats.
All of my other chores are done, done, done. Just have to pick up some rum and maybe some minature pastries for desert tomorrow and it’s pretty much just enjoying the holiday. Even this morning at work is a throughout kind of day because so many people have taken off. I’m cleaning up files and doing admin requirements, and listening to Phish through the table top speakers, because I can.

90% chance I’m getting Walnut Creek tomorrow. Christmas time in my family is a nice, big fat deal. I can’t wait. Today, Christmas Eve, is always even better than Christmas Day.

Good Monday morning sports fans. Off today after four days of family holiday get togethers. Marie and I are burnt out from family and are spending an extra vacation day alone together. Going out to get breakfast before a little shopping before coming back to open Wii Fit.
