Good morning, OKP. It’s Monday, and I could definitely use more weekend.
Night dropped my car off for servicing last night, so I had to take the truck this morning. Power steering has problems, so had to take it easy on the way in this morning. Plus it’s raining like a mofo, not something I really mind, but it just made the ride a little dicier (although I didn’t run into any moose on the way).
Bitch was that when I got down out of the truck I split my pants open in the crotch, but didn’t notice until about then minutes ago as I was sitting at my desk. Somehow felt a little breezy down there.
Fortunately, no one can see under my desk, so I think I’ll be OK for the rest of the day. Just hope I don’t have to attend any customer meetings today.

Morning dudes. Busy friggin day for me today, but it involves disc golf this evening and then a rehearsal that I’m likely to enjoy. Just gotta get this shift done.
7 hours of driving rain yesterday
7 hours of working rain today.
But it was beautiful this weekend, and Panic (and Bethel Woods) were amazing!
Plus we camped on hole one of the disc golf course in Quakertown, PA. Got a nice wake-up call from the local ranger, who was quite surprised to see us.
Feels like Monday, but it is Tuesday!!

Going into the office late this morning. Marie and I are taking our grandson out for breakfast this morning for his birthday. He’s 8 today, and normally we have dinner at his house on his birthday. But Marie has to work tonight at the Monmouth County Fair because she’s a county employee and her office has an information booth every year at the fair.

A dreary late-July morning here in Indiana.
Overcast, raining, gray…just a “blah” type of morning. At least tomorrow is Friday.
Where did July go? Where did JUNE go? I can’t believe Labor Day weekend is just over 5 weeks away.
Drat, someone brought in Dunkin Donuts this morning. People are pretty cool here, and once every couple of weeks or so, someone will buy donuts or bagels and drop them in the kitchen to share. This morning this guy Marc is happy to be back from a week of testing in MA, so he bought some donuts.
Now I’m generally pretty good at resisting the donuts. Most of them just don’t do anything for me except give me heartburn, more cholesterol, fat and extra calories that I can’t burn off in my normal daily activity. But here in central NJ, the Dunkins make an apple crumb donut that, when it’s in one of those boxes on the table in the kitchen, I just can’t resist. It’s unbelievable. I’ll literally knock people over to get to that donut if there’s only one left.
It’s an apple compote filled donut with a thin layer of white icing covered with these tiny crunch toasted nut crumbs. It’s just a great fricken taste treat, and I’m taking bites of it while explaining this lascivious behavior to you. But you have to understand, that this donut lust of mine is the exact same one that Homer has, it’s the bond that draws us together as brothers in decadence.

I'm about to hit the road, my weekly jaunt across northern RI to deliver/pick up the necessary accounting paperwork... then after driving around for half the day and then finishing my shift off back at the office, I plan to visit a disc golf course I've never been to before ... psyched for that. The family's gonna be at the beach for the day so that should allow me to disc golf without the guilty conscience of leaving the fam' behind.
But totally exhausted from staying up way too late and from having a cold.
Why do I have a cold?
