School’s back on with a 2 hour delay. Yippee skippy.

Tried to start the xmas shopping lastnight, but my daughter started feeling bad, so we had to scrap it. I still haven’t bought the first present and I’m not sure I care very much.

Week’s half over. Bout time! I’m eagerly awaiting Thursday night because Holt comes home from eastern NC and visiting his family. I haven’t seen him since Monday morning and I miss the crap out of him!

I’ve been getting to the lab really early these days. Early enough that I leave home when it’s dark out and get here just as the sun’s rising. As I’m usually still only half awake and listening to some Phish, it reminds me of being on tour and driving all night until the sun comes up. Unfortunately though, when I reach my destination it just means I have to go work rather than to a Phish show. Kind of a let down

Have a “holiday lunch” today as well, surprisingly enough at a pretty decent Italian restaurant, so I’m looking forward to one of the few perks we get from the company. It’s a BYO so there won’t be any drinking, but I generally don’t during the day because it just makes things harder when I get back to the office.

Tree’s up and lit. Just have to begin putting some ornaments on it, but Marie and I are considering not decorating it beyond the lights. It looks so good as it is right now.

Ordering her a Kindle for Christmas today. She is an avid reader, but I’m not sure she’ll like the technology. But the Kindle is cheap enough compared to an iPad, so even if she doesn’t use it, I’ll give it to someone in the family who might.

Well, got to get back to the nonsense. Have a great day, and I haven’t forgotten that I’ll be seeing some of you in a couple of weeks in the Big Apple!

Okay so that was a decent morning, near as I can tell. Started with a meeting at the school which was actually very good, then an easy work morning situation … plenty of coffee.

2 hour delay at school again. Yesterday went by so fast after getting to work at 10:30, so I’m liking this!

Going to dig through all the crap I bought lastnight and find out what the heck was so expensive!

Missed my Holiday party yesterday because of a three hour telecon I had to attend. Sux. Did manage to order a Kindle and cover with light for Marie through Amazon. Applied some credit that I received as a refund on a gift I purchased as a Secret Santa, so some things are working out nicely.

Just need to get through some hectic periods today and tomorrow and the holiday period may start looking brighter. And Phish two weeks from tonight. Hot dog!

Just about a week before the big day. Have lots of preparation work to do this weekend for next. Have to get all our plans and purchases completed because the way work is going, I won’t have much time for anything else during the week.

They’re beginning to replace our roof today. Notcied some leak indicators in a section of the ceiling above the front door, so we contracted with a guy who was recommended to us and he’s starting the work today, and will hopefully be finished by tomorrow since our house isn’t that big to begin with. Even at that it’s gonna cost over seven grand. Merry Christmas to us.

Christmas pageant to attend for two of the gkids tonight. Have mixed feelings about these. Love to see the kids get so excited about singing and being in a play and all, but just don’t understand why the schools don’t take the parents/families into consideration and plan these things as “winter pageants” after the holidays when people aren’t so damn busy. This one is at a parochial school so I guess they need to get the Jesus message across, again.

Got a half day today. Brought Ruger to the office to chill. The employees like him and thats cool.

Holy shit it’s Friday already? Hot damn…that means I’ll be in NYC exactly two weeks from today, recovering from the previous night and getting ready for the big night. Fucking-a right that’s awesome!

My christmas season starts tomorrow bitches! Party with my step-dad’s side of the family, who are from Italy and always bring over some pretty dank food. I’ll also have to stop at the Star Deli in Southfield for some of the world’s best corned beef. Then it’s off to Brett’s for his soiree. See you tomorrow dood!

so i got a room mate, he had a friend over, he brought a friend over, who happened to be a really cool heady chick. i got to sleep with her, and by sleep i mean zzzzzzzzzz (didnt even try). and that has been one of the biggest things i miss is having someone there at night. gonna try and take her out to dinner tonight. BUUT shes in the middle of breaking up with her bf and getting her shit out. :problem: i dont want to be the asshole and step on anyones toes. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO?

the garcia just finished up his 3rd semester of the nursing school. one more semester to go. pulled off a 90% on my final which is what I needed to get an A- for the class. it was no small feat considering I’m only the 2nd student to get an A for the course in the 7 years the college has been teaching it. but on the other hand 73 gets a degree so its more a feather in the cap than anything else. boo. boooo. booooob. boobs! bob. bob’s boobs. bob has boobs? really? booby bob has boobs but booby bobs boobs don’t bounce. :stuck_out_tongue: merry halloweenmas!
